00:00I think I'm not a totally different bowler. I've been playing for nine years and there
00:05are so many left-hand Chinamans over the year and obviously especially in this
00:10format you see a lot of Chinaman spinner in other teams as well so so it become a
00:16trend now playing with a racer spinner. Yeah you have to stay relevant in every
00:23game and you have to practice each and every day and just to just to keep
00:30working on you know reading the batters what they are doing during especially on
00:34on game day and and that's what I'm doing and just trying to read the batter
00:39what they are doing and sticking with my strength and yeah simple as that keeping
00:44things very simple not really to be honest when they all are quality players
00:56and when you play in t20 format they have to take the ball around so so
01:03obviously you have seen in a lot of games and my plan is very simple to get
01:09them get them out simple as that. Hi Kuldeep, from not playing as regularly in KKR to
01:17sort of becoming the best middle overs bowler for DC and also in the league
01:21you just talk about a bit about your t20 evolution you're able to beat with
01:25batters with turn as well in and also speed as well the other time Aniket
01:29Verma last match like you bowled a bit slow and had him caught in the deep so
01:32could you just talk about the different things you've done like in the last
01:35couple of years in your t20 evolution? I mean especially in all the formats you
01:41know I'm just focusing on the length length is very important and and it's
01:46been it's been like fourth year with DC so nothing changes you know you get
01:52matured in after playing so many so many games and understand what is your
02:02strength and obviously spinning the ball is my strength and just keeping very
02:10simple and just focusing on the length and we have been talking about that
02:14especially I talk about this a lot in all the interviews I have done so the
02:21length is the key for me. Can you talk about your left arm wrist spin is a rare
02:29art and there's very few bowlers who can execute that kind of a skill there's
02:35Noor Ahmed who's going to be playing who's playing for CSK he's going to be
02:39playing the match tomorrow so can you talk about Noor a little and what you
02:42like about him? He's bowling really well and I know him personally and he's
02:50someone who's tried to learn from everyone have been we had a chat
02:56last night as well I was sitting with him and we had a chat how to go about
03:01the leg spin you know so and obviously he has a lovely long one and with that
03:08kind of a pace it's very difficult for batter to pick and and especially you
03:14know when you play in Chennai it always very difficult to score against against
03:18any wrist spinner so yeah and and yeah simple is that you know I believe I
03:24believe wrist spin whether you bowl right and the left arm is the same you
03:28have to adapt and you have to learn the skill of spinning the ball and that's
03:34what I have done over the years and I'm even even now just to look how I can
03:40improve as a better spinner you know playing especially my targets to play
03:45obviously with the red ball as well so you have to you have to develop that
03:49skill as well to spin the ball that normal deliveries like like the Chinaman
03:55the normal leg spin so yeah I mean when you play T20 format it's totally
04:00different because you you have to contain the runs as well but at the same
04:05time you have to pick the wicket in the middle of us.
04:12You've spoken a fair bit about Shane Warne's influence in your career apart
04:18from Shane is there any leg spinners is there any left arm wrist spinners that
04:22you grew up when watching the game on YouTube obviously Warne I grew up
04:29watching him all the videos over the years even now and when I was in Academy
04:33one of my senior who who used to bowl leg spin I learned a lot from him as
04:39well you know he got a very very good leg spin and the wrong one so when you
04:44have someone near to you like next to you and you are bowling with along with
04:48them most of the time so you so you learn a lot so he was the one who who
04:54actually helped me in that early stage of my career.
05:04How about your team coordination new combination lovely lovely they have been
05:11superb all our professional athlete and they have been playing for their
05:16respective countries and and yeah and one of my few guys are played the
05:23franchise cricket earlier so so the environment is amazing the vibe is
05:28perfect and obviously when you win you you celebrate and obviously that's that's
05:34the most important thing and at the moment we are in a very good shape.
05:41Wasim Akram had very high praise for you. What exactly is it that you picked up from him?
05:47Wasim Bhai is very good friend of mine and I was I was with him in KKR
05:52I enjoyed a lot with him and he talked a lot about mental aspects
05:59and when I was young when I was learning cricket so he used to ask me when I was
06:08sitting in dugout he used to ask me
06:14that time we had Shakib, Piyush and one more spinner so so he used to ask me
06:28I'm very kind to him.
06:34Varun Chakraborty recently spoke about
06:36like how he sequences each of his deliveries when he's gonna bowl the
06:39wrong gun straightener whatever with you you also have a lot of variations do you
06:44sequence or it's like more instinct driven with you when it comes to like
06:47setting up this googly's and stuff? Varun has been brilliant from one year
06:52you know obviously he's been doing really well from for KKR over the years
06:56and he has played some really good cricket coming up to this tournament and
07:03yeah I mean not with me I'm very flexible I don't have any sequel like
07:11how to go about just read the batter what he thinks of me and and what is the
07:19best delivery to bowl to any batter so I don't have any ones like like one two
07:24three I don't have it
07:34Is he in good health? Is there any injuries?
07:37He's been recovering very well and hopefully I'm not sure about this game
07:44but hopefully you will see him playing in the next game I'm not sure about this
07:50game but to be honest but yeah I heard I never had a conversation about him to
07:55physio so so yeah so as of now he's recovering well he's bowling but let's
08:02see
