Poppy Playtime is an upcoming live-action horror movie based on the indie-#horror #game, Poppy Playtime. It will be produced by Mob Entertainment, Legendary Entertainment, and #Angry Films.[1] Initially, it was stated the movie would not follow the game's storyline and instead feature a separate plot though plans might be changed as the Movie's Production continues.
On April 27, 2022, the Mob Entertainment #Twitter #account revealed that a movie adaption of Poppy Playtime would be developed in partnership with Studio71.[3] The article they linked to the announcement doesn't reveal much, although Mob Entertainment and CEO Zach Belanger claims "We are so excited to deliver the next chapter of our #game and beyond excited to work with Studio71 to #transform #Poppy into a feature film. It’s going to be a great ride!"[2]
On January 22, 2024, Zach Belanger revealed that he would be meeting up with #movie #studios for the movie.[4]
On May 9, 2024, Mob Entertainment revealed that they will be partnering with Legendary Entertainment, who will be producing and developing the movie, along with #Don #Murphy and #Susan Montford from Angry Films.
