00:00Why are you laughing?
00:05Welcome to MsMojo!
00:07And today, we're counting down our picks for a collection of hilarious outtakes
00:12and actual scenes from the Big Bang Theory
00:14where no one on camera seemed to be able to keep it together.
00:27Number 30.
00:28Emily or Cinnamon.
00:29Given how much flack Raj gets for how close he is to his dog,
00:33it's unsurprising to see Howard invent an entirely new game to extend his mockery.
00:38Emily or Cinnamon.
00:40I want you to know the bed feels so lonely when you're not in it.
00:51I may not be liking this game so much.
00:53He spouts off a piece of trivia,
00:55and the idea is to determine whether or not Raj did or said something to his dog
01:00or his girlfriend.
01:01The joke itself gets stretched across the episode,
01:04and depending on the scene,
01:05you can clearly tell some cast members had a hard time keeping it together.
01:09A man can care deeply about a woman and a pet.
01:13It's not strange.
01:14Ooh, Emily!
01:14I heard him say that to Emily.
01:16Johnny Galecki in particular can be seen smiling and laughing repeatedly,
01:20and we're pretty sure it's him and not Leonard loving the joke.
01:24It's just so perfect that we're both Libras.
01:32Wow, this is hard.
01:35I'm gonna say Cinnamon.
01:36Yes!
01:36Come on!
01:39Number 29.
01:40Broken door handle.
01:42Sheldon is all too excited that Adam Nimoy is coming to interview him for his documentary film.
01:48Or as I like to call it, a Spockumentary.
01:52Yeah, I'm going to use that joke in the interview,
01:54so try to laugh like you're hearing it for the first time.
01:56With a knock at the door,
01:57he runs over and is more than excited to see the son of one of his heroes standing there.
02:02In an outtake for this scene,
02:04Jim Parsons can be seen grabbing the door handle
02:06and is unable to open it from his hand slipping off.
02:13Oh, dear.
02:14This triggers a bout of laughter from himself
02:17as well as Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco.
02:21As hard as the actors work to get their lines,
02:23no one could be expected to hold it together when the set itself ends up being the problem.
02:28I admire your father's work very much.
02:31It's not every day I get to meet someone whose life's journey began in my hero scrotum.
02:38I told you this guy is gold.
02:41Number 28.
02:42Raj can't help Howard.
02:44Since most of us don't work as actors in the television industry,
02:47it's hard to know what goes through their minds as they are attempting to deliver their lines.
02:52Speaking of that big side of beef,
02:55she's invited all of you to Thanksgiving at her house.
02:57When Howard is trying to convince the gang to come to the house for Thanksgiving,
03:02Simon Helberg breaks character and scolds Kunal Nayyar for apparently making him break.
03:07Please, Bernadette's bringing her dad because her mom's out of town
03:09and I never have anything to say to that guy.
03:11You, I'm gonna kill you.
03:13As an audience member,
03:15it doesn't seem like there's a clear reason for Simon's break,
03:18beyond possibly a look on Kunal's face.
03:21Whatever it was, it certainly got him and his castmates to chuckle and break the scene.
03:26My, my, the plot like my gravy thickened.
03:30Number 27.
03:32What's my line?
03:33Across multiple talk show appearances, and even in the book about the show,
03:37multiple actors have commented on Kaley Cuoco's uncanny ability to remember her lines.
03:43Okay, sweetie, I understand you have scars that no non-professional can heal,
03:48but nevertheless, we're going to throw Leonard a birthday party.
03:50But even someone as talented as she is has moments where her memory slips.
03:54In a season one episode, Penny is trying to blackmail Sheldon
03:58into helping her give Leonard a birthday party.
04:00We don't think that Leonard wants it.
04:01You either help me throw Leonard a birthday party, or so help me God,
04:04I will go into your bedroom and unbag all of your most valuable mint condition comic books,
04:07and on one of them, you won't know which, I'll draw a tiny happy face in ink.
04:11In a hilarious outtake, as Sheldon confronts Penny, Cuoco looks up at him and says,
04:16You can't do that.
04:17If you make a mark in a mint comic book, it's no longer mint.
04:21What's my line?
04:24Parsons and Cuoco immediately burst into laughter,
04:28triggering a funny reaction from the audience.
04:30We love how even the simplest of bloopers can show how actors are just like everyone else.
04:35Yeah, I have an idea.
04:36Let's throw Leonard a kick-ass birthday party.
04:4126. Hello, Ramona.
04:46Don't ever think that anything you ever see or hear in a film or television series is by accident.
04:51I believe she tried to steal Sheldon from Amy.
04:54You know what? I'm going to go there and tell her that they're engaged now,
04:57and that her little plan didn't work.
04:59Because you're sticking up for Sheldon, or because you're still mad she rejected you?
05:02Too far away, can't hear you.
05:04Whether it was written on the page or occurred in the moment,
05:07the director always has the option to do another take,
05:10and what makes the final cut is carefully edited.
05:12In a scene from the Caltech cafeteria, we see Raj going to talk to Ramona.
05:17She's the one that triggered Sheldon's proposal to Amy.
05:20Hello, Ramona.
05:22Hello.
05:23Why are you sitting by yourself?
05:25Oh, that's right, Sheldon's in New Jersey being engaged to Amy.
05:31I heard.
05:32In one take, after uttering a simple greeting, a large bang can be heard,
05:37spawning an outbreak of laughter from the cast and the audience.
05:41We don't get to see what caused it, but we do get to laugh along with them.
05:45Hello, Ramona.
05:49Number 25.
05:50The spaghetti was that good.
05:52There's an unwritten rule when filming actors on a set when it comes to food.
05:56Will you cut up hot dogs into little chunks and mix them in with the sauce?
06:01I don't have hot dogs.
06:02That's all right, I do.
06:03Oh, you're in for what my mother calls a real Italian treat.
06:07More often than not, they're not supposed to actually eat anything, or much of it anyway.
06:12This often has to do with keeping each take of a scene consistent
06:16when it comes time to edit the show.
06:18The Big Bang Theory was notorious for its scenes involving food.
06:25I'm so glad you like it.
06:27I do.
06:28Leonard never cooks for me.
06:30Well, maybe that's because Leonard can't cook.
06:32You can't cook and you made me this.
06:34All of it was real and prepared by a staff chef.
06:37During a scene between Sheldon and Penny, Jim Parsons forgets his line,
06:41and we just see Kaley Cuoco eating her spaghetti and commenting on how good the food is.
06:47He in no way said it in a manner which would, um, I don't know.
06:53It's okay, this tastes so good.
06:55Her quip is met with laughter, and now we're thinking about pasta.
06:59Number 24.
07:00Making fun of Zach.
07:02Among the recurring characters on this show, Zach was always a favorite.
07:06Check it out.
07:07All about planets this month.
07:09That's an atom.
07:12Agree to disagree.
07:15That's what I love about science.
07:16There's no one right answer.
07:18He was such a contrast to the boys, and later, the girls as well.
07:22With Penny having been the token dumb blonde for so long,
07:25it was certainly a change of pace to see someone whose tools weren't even as sharp as hers.
07:30It was a great show.
07:31They also said dolphins might be smarter than people.
07:34They might be smarter than some people.
07:36In a season four episode, Zach returns, and in an unexpected twist,
07:41our geeks start mocking Zach's incompetence.
07:44During the sequence, everyone in the cast is laughing,
07:47except for Penny, who knows the boys should be better, but can't help themselves.
07:52I don't get it.
07:54A dolphin might.
07:59Oh, I see.
08:00You guys are inferring that I'm stupid.
08:02That's not correct.
08:03We were implying it.
08:07You then inferred it.
08:08Number 23, tears of laughter.
08:11Sheldon and Leonard have decided to go with the girls while they shop.
08:14There's one thing I know about after living with you for so many years,
08:17it's how to compromise.
08:20I'm sorry, you make compromises for me?
08:26All the time.
08:29On earth.
08:30Instead of actually participating, they find themselves sitting in the store,
08:33and eventually succumbing to a deep conversation about their friendship.
08:37The original scene gets funnier as Sheldon uses Amy's compact
08:41to help him clear tears off his face.
08:43There we go.
08:44Compromising again.
08:48We really are the best.
08:49The entire thing is already hilarious,
08:51but when we throw in the blooper, things are even better.
08:54In one outtake, Jim can't help but smile,
08:57which triggers the rest of the cast to upend in hilarious laughter,
09:01with even Kaylee thanking him for it.
09:09Number 22, with yourself.
09:12In the English language, there are countless ways a person can insult another.
09:16And somehow, you managed to hold your head high despite your checkered past.
09:24Checkered past?
09:25It's a figure of speech referring to how sexually promiscuous you were.
09:29One common method often employed during a heated conversation
09:33consists of one individual informing another that they should engage in,
09:37to use a Sheldon turn of phrase, coitus with themselves.
09:41One such episode sees Sheldon and Penny in a passionate disagreement,
09:45leading Penny to make a similar comment using terms around sexual promiscuity.
09:50I've got a figure of speech about how sexually promiscuous you can go be with yourself.
09:55And what is it?
09:56The aired scene goes over just as well as you would expect.
09:59However, in a behind the scenes clip,
10:01we see a long pause before Jim Parsons makes a huge smile,
10:05breaking Kaylee into her own,
10:07and a huge round of laughter and applause from the audience.
10:10Well, I've got a figure of speech about how sexually promiscuous you can go be with yourself.
10:20Number 21, with yourself.
10:23Number 21, whose line is it again?
10:26Sheldon and Amy are hesitant to read the feedback on their new theory.
10:30As they discuss their options,
10:31the audience and cast are treated to a couple of great bloopers
10:34that follow the same theme in the same scene.
10:37Oh, Amy and I did give the world a gift.
10:40It would be nice to read some of the thank you notes.
10:42Surprised you're interested in some stranger's opinion.
10:45Well, as I always say, a stranger is just a friend who hasn't complimented me yet.
10:49At first, Parsons finishes his line, and there's a noticeable gap.
10:54No one knows who was supposed to go next, which of course is funny to watch.
10:58It would be nice to read some of the thank you notes.
11:05I don't know whose line it is.
11:08Is it me?
11:08Oh, sorry.
11:10Then in the same scene, only a few lines later,
11:13the exact same thing happens to Mayim Bialik.
11:16The cast is laughing and drinking fake champagne,
11:19to which Johnny Galecki makes a crack about the alcohol not even being real,
11:24all while Kaylee is making weird faces during the break.
11:27Your turn.
11:27Am I supposed to say something?
11:30It's not even real champagne.
11:35Can't even use that excuse.
11:40Amy and Sheldon have a formula for figuring out their wedding
11:43so that both of their ideas are fairly incorporated.
11:46You know, this is really fun.
11:48I can't believe that people say that planning a wedding
11:50is one of the most stressful things in life.
11:52I know.
11:53Not a day goes by that I don't marvel how much better we are than other people.
11:57It starts well, but to no surprise, it turns into a disagreement fest.
12:02Amy frustratedly mentions potentially changing the flower girl
12:06to something less conventional.
12:08Vows and Klingon.
12:10Then I'm changing the flower girl to a dog.
12:14And guess what? He'll be scattering instead of petals.
12:17Shooting the scene, Jim Parsons couldn't help but crack a smile
12:20after Mayim Bialik delivered the second part
12:23about the lack of flowers and presence of something less pleasant.
12:27The line is super funny within the context of the wedding planning scene,
12:30so we can see why Parsons couldn't resist smiling.
12:34And guess what? He'll be scattering instead of petals.
12:3919. Leonard's briefcase comment.
12:47By the time Penny tells Leonard that her brother is coming to town during season 10,
12:52he already knows about his illegal drug activities.
12:55Hey, can you hold off redoing that room?
12:57My brother's coming out here in a few weeks.
12:59Oh, okay, sure.
13:00What's going on with your brother?
13:01My dad asked if I can get him a job interview at my work.
13:03Naturally, he's not happy about her brother staying with them.
13:06Penny tries to help get her brother a job in the area.
13:09When she brings up the idea of him potentially working at the same pharmaceutical company as her,
13:14Leonard has a funny and creative response.
13:16Well, I'm sure he'll appreciate carrying his samples in a briefcase instead of his colon.
13:22Kaley Cuoco visibly tried not to laugh after Johnny Galecki delivered the line,
13:26but her smile eventually turned into laughter after all.
13:30Carrying his samples in a briefcase instead of his colon.
13:37Carrying his samples in a briefcase instead of his colon.
13:45Number 18.
13:46I think it's nice.
13:47Sheldon provides abundant opportunities to get roasted throughout the Big Bang Theory.
13:52Well, I think it's very nice that you're helping out our friend.
13:55I think it's nice that you're taking whatever medication Amy is clearly giving you.
14:00In many cases, it's for his quirkiness or unconventional behavior.
14:04During one particular stairway scene in Season 10,
14:07he says something that exhibits kindness and social awareness,
14:11the latter of which especially often escapes him.
14:14What is that supposed to mean?
14:15Well, it's like that science thing.
14:17For every action, you have a gigantic and annoying reaction.
14:23Just when I thought you couldn't get me hotter.
14:26Perhaps this comment doesn't warrant a snarky response, but that's what Leonard gives.
14:31After Leonard takes the shot at Sheldon, you can see Kaley Cuoco smiling
14:35and even starting to chuckle while walking up the stairs.
14:38When it was time to say her line, it quickly became evident they'd need a retake.
14:46And what is that supposed to mean?
14:48It's, it's...
14:54Number 17.
14:56Scavenger hunt with Romeo.
14:57If you're on Bernadette's team for a scavenger hunt,
15:00you better be locked in.
15:01All she wants to do is win.
15:03Sorry you got stuck with me.
15:05I bet you wanted to be with Bernadette.
15:07Have you ever played a game with Bernadette?
15:09No.
15:10Have you ever gone into a steel cage with a wolverine?
15:13She shows that competitive edge during a Season 7 episode,
15:16in which she finds herself teamed up with Leonard for a scavenger hunt.
15:20Things get a little rocky for Penny and Leonard when the teams are decided.
15:24Yeah, you don't think I'm smart enough.
15:25You think I'm gonna be a liability.
15:27Even though I totally just used the word liability correctly in a sentence.
15:35Later, Leonard tries to bury the hatchet with Penny during the game,
15:39but Bernadette isn't having it.
15:41Not the time, and not the place.
15:43This scene, which takes place at the comic book store, took several efforts to get right.
15:48Melissa Rauch and Johnny Galecki found the situation humorous,
15:51as Rauch repeatedly shouted her line and shoved her co-star.
15:55Hey, Romeo, repair your relationship on your own time.
16:02Oh, in the face.
16:06Number 16.
16:07Raj's baby's comment.
16:09When Sheldon and Leonard find themselves at a crossroads with their work in physics,
16:13Leonard voices his disappointment and frustration to Penny.
16:17It's worse than that.
16:18It hasn't found anything in years, so we don't know if we're right,
16:21we don't know if we're wrong, we don't know where to go next.
16:23All I know is it looks like a tongue-kissed avatar.
16:27So Penny suggests Raj and Howard cheer up Leonard and Sheldon.
16:32Raj is not in the mood for their negativity,
16:34and what he describes as whiny, baby-like behavior.
16:37Physics is exactly like Lost.
16:39Started out great and turns out just a big old waste of time.
16:45You know what you sound like? Babies.
16:47Two whiny babies.
16:49An outtake from this season 11 scene showed Kaley Cuoco and Jim Parsons laughing.
16:54While Raj actually executed the line well,
16:57it certainly provided a reason for the actors to laugh.
17:00Well, boo-hoo.
17:03Okay, you know what you sound like? Babies.
17:06Two whiny babies.
17:09Howard's presence during the scene is also worth noting,
17:12because at this point he's an expectant father,
17:15visibly overwhelmed by impending fatherhood.
17:18Raj's words certainly don't help put him at ease.
17:21Number 15.
17:22What other option was there?
17:24Sheldon's idea of consoling someone isn't quite up to par.
17:28What are you doing?
17:29I'm googling what to do when someone's freaking out.
17:34Oh, it says here that a walk can be calming.
17:39Bye.
17:40In a season 12 episode,
17:42Amy could use some emotional support from her husband.
17:45During a conversation with Penny and Leonard,
17:47Sheldon claims to have given it to her.
17:49But that doesn't sound like consoling.
17:51Penny's ensuing line is seemingly sarcastic,
17:54poking fun at the lack of effort Sheldon gave to brighten up his wife's day.
17:59What exactly does that mean?
18:01I took a walk.
18:02I came back.
18:03She was still upset, so I came here.
18:08Well, I don't see what else you could have done.
18:11Jim Parsons giggled after Kaley Cuoco said this line.
18:14Cuoco joined in on the laughing as well.
18:16This dialogue was a great piece of script writing,
18:19and Cuoco's execution brought it to life with flying colors.
18:23Well, I don't see what else you could have done.
18:30Watching TV without Leonard
18:32When a couple is watching a series together,
18:34there may come a time where one person feels tempted to watch an episode
18:37without their significant other.
18:39Depending on the situation, that could cause an issue.
18:42We had started binge-watching Luke Cage together,
18:45and he was kind of our thing.
18:47And then I find out that she watched two episodes without me.
18:52It's like I was excited for a present and got socks.
18:56Penny watches not just one, but two episodes without Leonard.
19:00He isn't thrilled about it,
19:01describing his fight with Penny to their friends.
19:04This produced a funny blooper in which the live audience reacted to Leonard's line.
19:08She watched two episodes without me.
19:13This caused Cuoco, Parsons, and Bialik to smile and eventually break.
19:24Shooting another scene in season 10,
19:26an eww sound from the live audience made Penny laugh.
19:32I'm sorry, she said eww!
19:34But we're choosing the instance where more than just Cuoco laughed.
19:39Number 13, The Big Leagues.
19:42Stuart and Raj fight over Bernadette's co-worker, Rushi, during season 11.
19:47He seemed fun.
19:48Oh yeah, he is. I love him dearly.
19:51Not to say that I don't worry about him.
19:53What's to worry about?
19:56You know what? I'm talking about you.
19:58Raj goes behind Stuart's back and isn't totally truthful when Stuart runs into him and Rushi.
20:04At one particular moment during the episode,
20:06Stuart's line about the Big Leagues of desperation produced a hilarious blooper.
20:11Kevin Sussman, who plays Stuart,
20:13delivered these words with great intensity and an irritated tone.
20:17You want to play a game of who's more desperate with me?
20:20Cause you're in the Big Leagues now, buddy!
20:23You want to play a game of who's more desperate with me?
20:26Cause you're in the Big Leagues now, buddy!
20:31The humor of the line itself, along with Sussman's execution of it,
20:34caused Kunal Nayyar to crack up.
20:37What actually made the final cut for the episode was a calmer delivery of the line,
20:41which is also funny, but arguably not as funny as the blooper.
20:45You want to play a game of who's more desperate with me?
20:50Cause you're in the Big Leagues now, buddy!
20:53Number 12. Howard's baby car seat mishap.
20:56Bernadette gives birth to Hallie in season 10.
20:59She's here! The baby's here!
21:01Congratulations!
21:03How's Bernadette?
21:04Tired, but great. They're both great.
21:06Does the baby have a name yet?
21:08We have named her Hallie.
21:10That same season, Howard brings his and Bernadette's baby up to Leonard and Penny's apartment.
21:16A laughter-filled blooper came out of this scene.
21:18The baby is asleep, so Howard asks if he can put her in the bedroom.
21:22Penny gives the okay.
21:24The baby's asleep. Can we put her in your room?
21:25Yeah, go ahead.
21:26Do you need help?
21:27No, I got it.
21:29Doubtfire! Poppins! Follow me!
21:31The blooper came after this, as Simon Helberg tried to maneuver between a couple of chairs
21:36with the baby car seat in his hand.
21:38It didn't go as smoothly as he hoped.
21:40The rest of the actors in the room laughed.
21:42The fact that the mishap occurred right after Amy offered help made it all the funnier.
21:47Do you need help?
21:48No, I got it.
21:58Number 11. Sheldon snoring.
22:00There's snoring, and then there's whatever that noise Sheldon makes while sleeping.
22:04Ahhh.
22:13Even Jim Parsons recognized just how silly he sounded while shooting this bed scene with
22:18Mayim Bialik. After a few funny-sounding snores and body movements, Parsons couldn't control
22:24himself from laughing. This happened more than just once. He apologized and showed his frustration
22:30for not being able to keep himself together.
22:34Ahhh.
22:44At the same time, you could tell he was having a good time despite his several failed attempts.
22:48Unsurprisingly, what ultimately made the final cut for this scene was also quite funny.
22:53Ahhh.
23:02Number 10. Camera in comic book store.
23:06In season 9, Stewart invites the girls over to the comic book store to get their advice
23:11on how to bring more women through the door.
23:13How can we help?
23:14Well, I know more women are buying comics than ever, but for some reason I can't get them in here.
23:20All right, well, what have you tried so far?
23:22When asked what he's done so far, he mentions the, quote,
23:26breastfeeding area and tries to allay their concerns by telling them about
23:30the camera he had installed above them.
23:33Really? In a comic book store?
23:35Oh, don't worry, I've got a camera right up here so I could
23:39watch from the counter, make sure guys aren't being pervs.
23:42In the episode that aired, this last comment creeps the girls out.
23:47However, in a great blooper, actor Kevin Sussman, who plays Stewart,
23:52can't quite make it through his speech,
23:54which ends up cracking up the rest of the cast in the scene as well.
23:58Anyway.
24:06Number 9. Will Wheaton plays with himself.
24:09Former star of Star Trek The Next Generation and the only guy I know
24:14lucky enough to be immortalized in 1 16th scale. Set phasers to fun.
24:19Okay, so we have to admit that Sheldon handing Will Wheaton a Wesley Crusher action figure
24:24and telling him to feel free to play with yourself?
24:28Now, that's a great line.
24:30Can I speak to you for a second?
24:32I'll be right back. Feel free to play with yourself.
24:36It still makes us laugh every time we watch that episode,
24:40and it turns out Mayim Bialik liked it also.
24:44So much so, in fact, that the actress just couldn't stay in character
24:48when it was her time to speak next.
24:50She was supposed to be angry, which we see in the aired episode,
24:54but in the blooper, she couldn't even get started.
24:57I'll be right back. Feel free to play with yourself.
25:10Number 8. Penny's feet.
25:12Depending on your POV, feet can be sexy or gross,
25:17but not many people find them funny.
25:19Well, he pointed out that he kind of sort of had to put up with you.
25:23Kind of sort of had to?
25:25I didn't agree with him.
25:26Well, you defended me, right?
25:27I tried.
25:29However, watching Kaley Cuoco go to town on her feet in this Season 4 scene
25:34was too much for Simon Helberg to handle.
25:37As we saw in the scene that made it to air,
25:40Howard is supposed to admonish Penny for scrubbing her feet wrong
25:44and then take over and show her how it's done.
25:47I do this for my mom all the time.
25:51See?
25:52With the grain.
25:55Wow, that is better.
25:57But in this take that ended up on the blooper reel,
26:00Helberg, although he tries to hang in there,
26:02can't help but break as Penny scrubs and scrubs and scrubs away.
26:11He tried, but he...
26:20Number 7.
26:21Indian Jones.
26:23In Season 6, Raj had the very funny idea of dressing up as
26:28Indiana Jones' mocha-skinned love child, Indian Jones, for Halloween.
26:33I was thinking of dressing up as Indiana Jones' mocha-skinned love child.
26:40Indian Jones.
26:44Clever.
26:45The problem is that Jim Parsons and Simon Helberg thought it was a really funny idea also.
26:51This was a problem because every time Kunal Nayyar would try and get his lines out,
26:57those other two would keep cracking up.
26:59I was thinking of dressing up as Indiana Jones.
27:02If that wasn't bad enough, once Parsons and Helberg were able to hold it together
27:07and keep a straight face, Nayyar just couldn't get the line out properly
27:11for take after take after take after...
27:14Oh, by the way, can I borrow your bull weapon, Fedora?
27:20You'll keep it together.
27:23Oh, by the way, can I borrow your bull weapon, Fedora?
27:25Oh, by the way, can I borrow your bull weapon, Fedora?
27:32Number 6, Howard and Raj get close
27:35One of the things that makes this scene so funny is how Helberg and Nayyar hold their
27:41positions with their faces just a couple of inches from each other.
27:44This is where he goes? What's in there?
27:47I think it's an old storage room.
27:50What could he be doing in there every day for 20 minutes?
27:53If you're wondering how they managed to do it without laughing,
27:56well, the answer is they didn't.
27:58At least, not on the first take.
28:00What are you doing? I'm listening.
28:05Can't you face the other way and listen? I can't do anything right for you, can I?
28:10We're not sure how many takes they did, but we do know that at least one of them led to
28:15this great blooper in which they hold, hold, and hold, but eventually Nayyar cracks a smile.
28:21Helberg manages to hang on a bit longer, but not by much.
28:39Number 5, Mike DeGrasse Tyson
28:42In the season 9 episode, The Fermentation Bifurcation,
28:46the gang runs into Penny's ex, Zach, at a wine tasting, and gets to talking about science.
28:52Angular momentum. I was wondering about that.
28:58You can put it in a satellite or a rocket and it'll run forever.
29:02Cool.
29:02Because, as Zach points out, he loves science,
29:06and can even name a number of famous scientists, including Mike DeGrasse Tyson.
29:11I love science. Einstein, Stephen Hawking, Mike DeGrasse Tyson.
29:17Zach's name mix-up gets a smile of superiority from the geniuses,
29:21as the script certainly called for. What it didn't call for, though,
29:25was Kaley Cuoco bursting out laughing, which she did during one of the takes
29:30when Zach stumbles over the name mix-up.
29:33Einstein, Stephen Hawking, Mike DeGrasse Tyson.
29:40I saw.
29:41Number 4, Raj, The Couple's Counselor
29:45Raj might just be the character most in touch with his feelings,
29:49and the best one to give advice to the couples in the group.
29:52You made us feel like we're not trying hard enough.
29:53Yeah, we were totally fine half-assing our marriage till you showed up.
29:59Look, I'm sorry you're upset with me,
30:00but I just have to say it's nice to see the two of you on the same page.
30:04But that doesn't mean they always want his advice,
30:07and in the discovery, Dissipation, each couple, one after the other,
30:12tells him exactly that.
30:14First, it's Howard and Bernadette, followed by Sheldon and Amy.
30:19Thank you, Rajesh.
30:20And Amy, you need to be patient with Sheldon
30:22instead of pressuring him to accept intimacy on your terms.
30:27You should probably go.
30:28But before they got a good take of Amy telling Raj to leave,
30:32there were a couple in which neither Nair, Bialik, nor Parsons could keep a straight face,
30:38as Raj doled out his relationship advice.
30:41Thank you, Rajesh.
30:42And Amy.
30:43Why are you laughing?
30:49Number three, Howard's Al Pacino impression.
30:52Howard is a master of impressions,
30:54and in season six's The Love Spell Potential,
30:57we got to enjoy a number of them, from Nicolas Cage to Christopher Walken.
31:02Travel with caution.
31:06These woods are home to the bones of many.
31:11A fallen hero!
31:13But when the girls return to the apartment where the guys are playing Dungeons and Dragons,
31:18Howard breaks out his Al Pacino impression to invite them to join in on the game.
31:22A satanic fungus that looks suspiciously like Al Pacino
31:28rises from the forest floor and says,
31:32You're playing D&D.
31:34You're playing D&D.
31:36This whole apartment!
31:41It's playing D&D.
31:44And yes, the characters are supposed to appreciate the impression,
31:47but if you look at the cast around Howard,
31:50you can see that these are real laughs, not acting laughing.
31:54I know not to fly over volcanoes.
32:00I'm a freaking idiot.
32:04They're dragons, Christopher Walken!
32:07Number two, Sheldon Spank's Amy.
32:10The episode in which Sheldon takes care of a sick Amy
32:14is filled with some of the biggest laughs of the series.
32:17You may notice some tingling.
32:20Oh, I'm counting on it.
32:27We all remember Sheldon putting vapor rub on Amy's chest and spanking her
32:31to punish her for lying about being sick once her condition had improved.
32:36Well, as big as the laughs from the studio audience were during these scenes,
32:40so too were Parsons and Bialik's character breaks in the bloopers for each one.
32:56Bialik actually goes and winks at Parsons while he rubs her chest,
33:01and Parsons loses it after each spank of her rear end.
33:06Sorry.
33:08I'm sorry.
33:11Action!
33:13I'm sorry.

33:31Number one, Thor and Dr. Jones.
33:34It often requires multiple takes to get a scene right,
33:37and actors can break character numerous times before finally keeping a straight face
33:42for the scene that makes it into the episode.
33:44Finlay held his ground and straightened his fedora.
33:50Thor said, that's a nice look in 1944-a.
33:55And then there are times when the scene that makes it to air
33:58isn't the only one where they don't break,
34:00but rather the one in which they break the least.
34:03Case in point, Howard and Raj's concert at the comic book store in season nine.
34:08As you can see in this blooper,
34:10Kaley Cuoco is breaking through pretty much the entire song.
34:22But check out the actual scene,
34:24and you'll see Cuoco holding strong when they first cut to her,
34:28but once Nayir and Helberg hit those high notes, she breaks yet again.
