Did you know that in Iron Man, in the scene where Pepper replaces the Arc reactor in Tony Stark's chest, the movie didn't have a big budget? Instead of using digital effects, a practical effect was used. They made a silicone replica of Robert Downey Jr.'s body, with a space for the Arc reactor. They even designed a chair to hide his body, leaving only his head visible. It was quite uncomfortable for the actor, but the final result turned out great.
