00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted on continuing to provide legal assistance and security
00:06to the 17 Filipinos who were recently arrested in Qatar
00:09for conducting political protests.
00:13The temporary release of the so-called OFWs has been given
00:17due to the absence of a case against them.
00:20According to the Department of Migrant Workers, Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak,
00:24the President immediately focused on the issue
00:27where the DMW was able to help its counterparts in Qatar.
00:32Again, the DMW reminded the Filipinos abroad
00:36to follow the law they were given.
00:38At the same time, the agency thanked the authorities and the government of Qatar
00:43for their approval of the so-called provisional liberty to the Filipinos.
00:48Part of the legal assistance that has been so carefully directed by the President
00:54is to put up the best legal defense for our 17 kababayans.
