00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Huston-Bett and today's video is a useful family guide for the Easter holidays.
00:07We know that Greater Manchester schools are closing this Friday and that's a massively exciting thing for kids
00:11but can actually be a little bit of a nightmare for some parents because they need to find a way to keep these kids entertained and
00:17energised for the school holidays, basically.
00:20So here's a list of some of the best family-friendly options to distract the kids, tire them out and make your job as easy as
00:27possible as a parent. First, the Pac-Man experience, which we did a video on fairly recently.
00:32We'll show some clips up here, but basically it's a great opportunity. You get to be Pac-Man,
00:36you're competing with friends and family to eat pellets and chase ghosts.
00:41There's lots of running around, lots of excitement and I can absolutely guarantee it will tire kids out by the end.
00:46It's a lot of fun and it's only just open so you could even get yourself on the leaderboard.
00:50Next, the National Football Museum has been popular for years here in Manchester and it's one of the best football museums in Europe
00:56that's constantly changing its exhibitions.
00:58So there's always something new to get your teeth stuck into and it's a perfect way to get young football fans
01:03interested and engaged in some of the stories behind the sport as well. And the fun activities such as the penalty taker challenge and a whole
01:10bunch of first-touch challenges should keep them physically tired as well.
01:13Next, the Museum of Illusions. The entry fee gives you unlimited time there and there's lots of amazing illusions to explore.
01:20I went with our old writer, Sophia, last year and we had an incredibly
01:24engaging, fun time. The mirror room was a real highlight and there's some great photo opportunities as well.
01:30Finally, Challenge Point is up in the northern quarter. It's sort of themed around different TV shows. There are seven different activities.
01:35It's lots of fun and a great way to get some friendly competition going. Get down,
01:39give it a try and follow Manchester World for more.
