00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark. I'm Prameet and in today's video we are gonna give you some
00:05really important news and if you are based out of Delhi, then this news is very very important for
00:11you. So news is that the Delhi government has put an order that vehicles older than 10 or 15 years
00:18that is 10 years for diesel vehicles and 15 years for petrol vehicles. If your vehicle is older than
00:2510 or 15 years then you will no longer be getting fuel in petrol pumps. Now this order has been
00:32active from 1st of April and obviously there have been a lot of gadgets that have been installed on
00:39petrol pumps that I will be telling you in this video. So first of all if you have an old vehicle
00:46you cannot drive it in Delhi NCR because of the NGT Act and that is if you have a 10 year old
00:52diesel vehicle and your vehicle life is over you cannot renew that or if you have a 15 year old
00:59petrol vehicle you cannot renew that as well. So there are two rules now what do you do with that
01:04vehicle that you have with you if you have some sentimental value with your vehicle or if you
01:09want to keep your vehicle with you there are two options that you can do. First either you can keep
01:14it at your private property. Now you are not allowed to park the vehicle on the road at the
01:20side of the road it should be parked within your private property and if the private property is
01:25owned by you and the vehicle is parked inside then the Delhi government will do nothing they will not
01:31seize your vehicle but if they see that your vehicle is parked outside the vicinity of your
01:36property then they might seize your vehicle or you will get a five to ten thousand rupees fine
01:43for using or parking an old vehicle that has already the shell life of the vehicle is over.
01:48So yeah please be careful of that. Now coming to the petrol and diesel scene so how this thing has
01:54been sorted so the Delhi government has said that now there are almost around more than 450 petrol
02:00pumps in Delhi and all of them have been equipped with cameras and as soon as an old vehicle enters
02:08the petrol pump the cameras will read the number plate and after reading the plate obviously it
02:14it will set an alarm that will notify the people who are at the petrol pump and they can refuse you
02:20or not give you fuel as well and you cannot argue with them because this is a straight order from
02:25the government. So what do you do then obviously second rule is you get rid of your old vehicle
02:32you get it scrapped get some money out of it and it is no longer with you and you can go and purchase
02:38yourself with a brand new vehicle. Now some people may ask that this rule should have come a little
02:44earlier well obviously is because of the pollution level the rising pollution level that Delhi is
02:50facing NCR is facing so because of that obviously this rule has come in place and I think it is a
02:56pretty decent rule however the people who are keeping old vehicles with them they should
03:03actually keep a check on where they are parking the vehicle or if your vehicle is parked outside
03:08as I said that they will tow your vehicle or you will get a fine. So this rule applies to Delhi
03:14NCR obviously this rule is no longer applicable if you want to drive your old vehicle outside of
03:19Delhi you can do that but please be careful if you are getting your vehicle from outside do check
03:26that your vehicle is not older than 10 years that is your diesel vehicle or a petrol vehicle not
03:32older than 15 years because as soon as you enter the state of Delhi you will be fined because of
03:39this rule now nothing can be done it is straight order from the government so you cannot argue with
03:45the cops as well so yeah if you are getting an old vehicle you you better park it inside your
03:51vicinity or else if you take it outside two things can happen you will get fined your vehicle will
03:56get towed and the third thing is you will obviously not be able to move your vehicle unless there is
04:01fuel in it and which is not possible because the rule has now come in place that 10 or 15 year old
04:08vehicles will no longer get fuel from petrol pumps because they have installed various
04:13equipments at petrol pumps that will tell the owner or the people at the petrol pump who are
04:19filling the fuel that this vehicle is older than 10 or 15 years and fuel cannot be given to it so
