UP Cebu to feature tallest Oblation
The University of the Philippines Cebu-Dalaguete Extension Campus will feature the largest and tallest Oblation statue in the entire UP system, making it a landmark for the university. Campus Architect Ryan Anthony Genobiagon confirmed that the towering Oblation will be part of the new campus, which will rise on a 1.6-hectare site in Barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete. The project was formalized through a memorandum of agreement signed by Dalaguete Mayor Ronald Allan Cesante and UP Cebu Chancellor Leo Malagar. The extension campus aims to expand UP Cebu’s presence in the southern part of the province and provide greater access to quality education for students, including from nearby provinces in the Visayas.
