00:22This is illegal.
00:32Okay, R. Ashoka there speaking.
00:34Let's just try to get a sense of what exactly his message is as he too, now along with all the other BJP leaders,
00:42has been detained for his protest over price hike in Bengaluru.
00:47These leaders planned in fact to go ahead and get out the chief minister's residence,
00:52which is why they've been taken into custody one after another.
00:56Sagai is with us, understandably a whole lot of chaos that's playing out,
01:00but Sagai is getting us those latest updates from the ground.

01:08They've all been taken into custody.
01:10There were barricades that were put up and when the BJP workers tried to breach those barricades,
01:14they were taken into custody one after another.
01:17It's unclear as to where these BJP leaders currently are being taken,
01:20but in all likelihood they will be kept detained in custody for the rest of the day,
01:25considering their plan of derailing the chief minister's residence.
01:29They had permission, Sagai, to go ahead and protest at Freedom Park,
01:33but it's the moment they stepped out that all of them are being hoarded away in buses.
01:39Absolutely, permission was granted only to protest at Freedom Park,
01:44where they were not allowed to cross the barricade, the restricted area,
01:48but still the BJP leaders who were protesting, they were all sent to Geraud's chief minister's house.
01:52They were trying to jump the restricted area and that's when the police had arrested them.
01:56As you rightly pointed out, they will be detained, they will finish all the procedures
02:00which should be followed legally by the police and thereafter all of them will be released
02:08and these are routine procedures and irrespective of parties, the police always detain
02:13whenever the party leaders are trying to violate the law,
02:18or trying to violate the restrictions which have been imposed.

03:26the government doesn't have money, they are bankrupt.
03:29That is the reason they are burdening people to pay more for water, electricity, property
03:34and even for diesel where the government have increased the prices of all these things
03:38and the BJP is demanding that they should roll back
03:41until unless they don't roll back they will continue the protest.
