00:00Meanwhile, the Palace reiterated that the government has nothing to hide following the absence of some officials at the Senate's second hearing on the arrest of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
00:11According to Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Attorney Claire Castro, government officials had already provided sufficient responses during their first hearing.
00:25Jose Castro also cited the preliminary findings of the Senate committee led by Senator Aimee Marquez as proof that the government remains open to addressing inquiries regarding the former president's arrest.
00:39In a letter to the Senate, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin highlighted Executive Order 464, which upholds executive privilege,
00:48stating that communications between the president, cabinet officials, and presidential advisors are considered privileged and not subject to public disclosure.
