With an increase in calls to strut safe people generally feel less safe walking at night than they used too.

00:00I'm 70, so I'm not out and about at night very often, but I'm not a nervous person.
00:06I grew up in Glasgow, I feel fine walking around actually.
00:10I'm 77 almost, so me and my wife, my partner, we go out in the afternoon rather than at
00:17night in Glasgow. Now I used to go out every Friday, Saturday night, but now I go out in
00:21the afternoon for a few pints, watch a bit of live music and go home because the city's
00:25like Sodom and Gomorrah on a Friday, Saturday, well especially a Saturday night.
00:29In the city centre, it's a very, very bad place to be at night now, whereas before,
00:35years ago it was kind of okay. But I don't think it's lit up enough, like I don't think
00:39a lot of Gow Street's lit up enough and all the wee back streets are quite kind of like
00:44dull and there's somewhere where people can hide and things like that. And I just, I just
00:50think it's not a safe place anymore in the city centre. And obviously not just the city
00:54centre but where people stay too. We've got our concerns, but I'd like to see more policing.
