00:00The Agriculture Department continues to focus on lowering the prices of goods,

00:06including the price of pork.

00:09Meanwhile, it is expected that the production of rice in the country will increase this year.

00:26and CP Foods, one of the leading pork producers in the Philippines

00:29for the discount of pork in the market.

00:33This is one of the steps of the Department of Agriculture

00:36to lower the price of pork in the market.

00:44The price of Sabit Ulo will be only Php290

00:47from the Directiva of the DA, which is Php300.

00:51Php240 will be the price of the discounted pork

00:55and Php260 for the pork belly.

00:58The first 100 heads of pork will be released every day for pilot testing.

01:03Pilot testing will be conducted in the markets in Metro Manila,

01:07particularly in Malabon.

01:09Aside from this, the DA is also planning to put a card

01:12that will serve as a tracker from the producer to the retailer of pork.

01:16This is also a way to determine where the problem of compliance

01:20with the maximum suggested retail price of pork occurred.

01:23As of now, the compliance level of the farm gate price of pork is Php88

01:27which is Php230, while the compliance of MSRP is Php39.

01:32It is possible that the shipping permit will be removed

01:34to reduce the price of pork.

01:37Meanwhile, it is expected that the production of local rice will increase this year.

01:43The local production of rice is more than 20 metric tons

01:47in the first quarter of this year,

01:48while the compliance of the imported rice is already at 50%

01:51with the MSRP of Php45, which started this Monday.

01:55Aside from this, the DA is planning to make the NFA Rice Retailer

01:58a certified accredited retailer

02:00to expedite the release of the NFA Rice stocks.
