00:00The Crimline Cool Smashers and Akari Chargers faced off in the 2024-2025 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference Semifinals.

00:09Did the Smashers recover from the defeat last Saturday or did the Chargers continue their good campaign in the league?

00:15Let's find out from teammate Bernadette Ninoy.

00:21After experiencing a defeat last Saturday against the Petrogas Angels,

00:26the Crimline Cool Smashers rekindled their spirit following their victory against the Akari Chargers in the 2024-2025 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference Semifinals.

00:38In front of the volleyball fans yesterday at the Fieldsports Arena,

00:42the Smashers dominated the Chargers by straight sets 25-18, 25-19, and 25-19.

00:50According to head coach Sherwin Meneses,

00:52this proves that they still have a chance to make it to the finals and defend the title of being a champion.

01:01The game is like a board game for us.

01:03So, in order to recover, of course, we have to stay focused.

01:09Our teamwork is still there.

01:11We can't blame anyone.

01:14If there's a mistake, we have to discuss it thoroughly in order to recover.

01:20So, we're happy because we were able to recover from a one-game loss in the semis.

01:27Pangs Panaga was known as the player of the game, the 6-footer middle blocker,

01:32after losing 13 points from 10 attacks, 1 block, 2 aces, and 1 excellent dig.

01:40The coach told us from the last game that we have to move on immediately.

01:44So, that's what we're focusing on.

01:48We have to work harder.

01:50The game is very important right now.

01:52So, our goal for today is different.

01:55Teamwork and focus on what we're doing.

02:01Bernadette Pons and Crimline were the first to score 17 points from 16 attacks and 1 block.

02:07They will continue to practice in order to strengthen the offense and defense of the team.

02:14This is what will dictate our chance in the finals.

02:17So, that's our extra motivation right now, to win this game.

02:22Because we really want to defend the crown.

02:26On Wednesday, April 3, the smashers will face off against the Tocomucho Flying Titans at 6.30pm in Araneta Coliseum.
