00:00Vice President Sara Duterte has visited former President Rodrigo Duterte together with his brother Veronica and ex-president's wife, Hanilet Abancenia.

00:11The vice president has a message for President Bongbong Marcos that his relationship with his father is better now.

00:31In the middle of their family's visit, Vice President Sara Duterte thanked President Bongbong Marcos

00:39because through his visit, they were able to forgive their father, former President Rodrigo Duterte,

00:48and he also had a better relationship with his brother, Veronica.

00:54This really is ironic, but I have to thank Bongbong Marcos because there was forgiveness between me and PRD for all that has happened in our lives.

01:11Vice President Sara Duterte said that after visiting her father yesterday in the Scrivening Inn Prison of the International Criminal Court,

01:24because they were not able to talk about the father's case or any legal steps that they will take,

01:30they now have a father who has more time to bond.

01:36We have a relationship now, a father-daughter relationship since we cannot discuss anything legal anymore.

01:43It's sad that it has to happen inside the ICC, inside the detention.

01:58This was the first time that they visited Veronica and Honolette Avancena, the common-law wife of the former President.

02:51such as no risk of flight, risk of interference of witnesses in the evidence, and third, risk of continuing crimes.

03:00We are not asking for anything in return.

03:03The administration has to think about what their next steps are.

03:07So they should not ask the family, they should not ask the Filipino people on what their next steps are

03:14with regard to the talk on the return of former President Duterte to the Philippines.

03:22Maybe when they've decided, if ever, they will decide what their next steps are.

03:30If ever it is even discussed inside the halls of the palace, they can tell us what their plans are.

03:38The government intends to do with the return of President Duterte.

03:50Vice President Sara is hoping that the former President's defense team will be formed.
