Chief Meteorologist Jon Porter shows how you can use the AccuWeather app to optimize your health and physical activities by monitoring outdoor conditions, such as pollen levels and asthma risks.

00:00We have many tools in the free AccuWeather app to help you optimize your health, safety
00:05and comfort.
00:06Let's take a look at some of those here today and we can go to the AccuWeather app home
00:11screen and we'll take a look at Charlotte, North Carolina, but of course you could just
00:14tap on the top there and go to any location around the country and around the world at
00:19your fingertips.
00:20Here's the main dashboard of the AccuWeather app, of course our exclusive AccuWeather minute
00:24cast forecast, minute by minute forecast out to the next four hours, but I want to draw
00:29your attention to the right hand side of the screen here where we have of course today's
00:32details, current conditions, interactive maps, air quality, but when you go down to health
00:37and activities, we have many ways to describe the impact of weather on various aspects of
00:42your health or other outdoor activities that you might be interested in and when you take
00:46a look at the, if you tap this little icon here to the right under health and activities
00:51you can bring up the different types of forecasts that we have available and you can see these
00:56little check marks because I have tree pollen turned on, ragweed pollen, grass pollen, arthritis
01:01and if I'm interested in turning on our unique asthma forecast I just tap on that and I'm
01:06able to bring that up and completely customize it around the things that matter most to me
01:11and my family and I can go back and hit done there and I'll be able to take a look at the
01:15latest forecast for that today on the right hand side and then the AccuWeather premium
01:21plus app I have the ability to tap on that and look at an exclusive seven day forecast
01:27of different parameters and let's take a look at the tree pollen in Charlotte which has
01:30been through the roof here over the last couple of days, look at this, it will be moderate
01:35here for the next couple of days but then later this week toward the weekend high in
01:39description of what kind of impacts that will mean.
