A horrifying incident has come to light in the Neemkathana area of Rajasthan’s Sikar district, where a father brutally killed his five-month-old twin daughters by throwing them on the ground and later buried their bodies in an empty plot two kilometers away.
According to police reports, the accused, Ashok Kumar Yadav (30), had frequent disputes with his wife, Anita Yadav (27), over his desire for a son. On Thursday afternoon, following a minor argument, he first assaulted his wife and then violently threw his twin daughters, Nidhi and Navya, on the ground, causing severe injuries. The family rushed the infants to the hospital, but doctors declared them dead.
In an attempt to conceal the crime, Ashok and his family secretly buried the bodies at night, covering them with stones and bushes. However, the maternal uncle of the deceased children, Sunil Yadav, informed the police, leading to the swift recovery of the bodies and the arrest of the accused.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Ashok and his family, who already had a five-year-old daughter, were dissatisfied with the birth of twin girls. His wife Anita had reportedly faced continuous harassment since her marriage in 2016, with her in-laws pressuring her to give birth to a son.
Neemkathana police, led by ASP Roshan Meena, have launched a thorough investigation into the case, with further legal action underway.
