00:00The Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizol had a dialogue with the Manibela group,

00:05which is part of the government's jeepney modernization program.

00:08On the other hand, the group announced that it is ready to join the program.

00:18Joshua was accompanied by DOTR Secretary Vince Dizol

00:22of the Special Order No. 2025-152

00:26that the Special Committee is forming to discuss the issues

00:31related to the government's jeepney modernization program.

00:39Under the Special Committee for the Review of the Public Transport Modernization Program or PTMP,

00:45Secretary Dizol will ask the members of the committee to consult

00:50the various stakeholders, examine the situation and process of the PTMP

00:55and provide the main solutions and concerns related to the program.

01:00DOTR Undersecretary for Road Transportation and Infrastructure,

01:05Mark Steven Pastor, will serve as the head of the committee,

01:09along with Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure, Ramon Reyes,

01:14Ramon Ilagan, the new head of the office,

01:18Transportation Cooperatives,

01:20and Land Transportation Office Chief, Vigor Mendoza, as members.

01:25It is expected that the committee's recommendation will be submitted to Secretary Dizol

01:30in the next week of PTMP.

01:33Yesterday, Secretary Dizol was assigned to the Manibela Transport Group

01:37after the group's three-day transport strike last week

01:41as a protester in the modernization program.

01:44In their assistance, the PTMP was prepared by Manibela President, Marv Valbuena.

01:51One of the group's urgent requests to DOTR is to allow their members

01:57to return to their former routes by returning their franchise or by providing a provisional authority.

02:04They also asked the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board

02:09to recognize their franchise and to issue a visa to register their vehicle with the LTO.
