00:00A couple of transfer notes for you, as we've had some transfer situations here throughout
00:07the country, two big ones, New Mexico's Donovan Dent, who I think before Lewis went in was
00:14the number one guy in the portal.
00:17He goes to Mick Cronin and UCLA.
00:20So that's a huge get for Mick Cronin.
00:22That dent was tremendous for New Mexico this year.
00:26And R.J. Lewis from St. John's, he enters the transfer portal as well.
00:30I guess he wasn't too thrilled about his three for 75.
00:36I was just having this conversation with the young gun earlier, and I said to him, I don't
00:43plan on, this will be the last time, in my view, that it's worth mentioning the thousand
00:50players that have entered the transfer portal.
00:54I prefer to tell the story of where they end up, as opposed to giving them attention
01:00for just entering the vacuum.
01:03I don't care where Lewis goes with his broke-ass J. And really, announcing all these kids that
01:11are leaving their schools and screwing everyone that they've played with to find greener pastures,
01:17to me, is not a story.
01:19I think it's a story when we find out where they go, fair enough.
01:25But not when they're leaving.
01:26I don't think it's a story.
01:27In fact, I don't like the lay of the land at all in college basketball.
01:32This portal being opened up during the NCAA tournament was the dumbest thing I ever saw.
01:37And paying them.
01:38I know a lot of people will argue that they deserve to be paid, and I'm fine with that.
01:44I've never had a problem with paying them.
01:46I've had a problem with paying them millions, and then none of them go to class, and none
01:51of them get an education.
01:53And then when the money dries up, we've got a bunch of stupid people walking around without
01:56jobs.
01:57Because I can tell you, the reality is, 95% of them aren't going to the NBA.
02:02Now, I know a lot of kids that play in Europe and overseas.
02:08I do know a lot of them, personally.
02:11And they're all miserable.
02:13And homesick.
02:14And lonely.
02:15And they hate it.
