00:12The Bukidnon continue to bring celebration to Minana from their ancestors.

00:18Joseph Morong will accompany us in uncovering their colorful culture in Pista, Pinas.

00:25The instruments of spreading the culture are constantly being heard.

00:31In the dance, there is a glimpse of the historic Habian tradition and the changing times.

00:37And the culture and traditions of the ancestors of the Mumukadtangi tribe.

00:45All of this can be witnessed at the Amulan Festival in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

00:51A full celebration from the seven tribal groups of Bukidnon,

00:55Nahikawnon, Manobo, Matigsalug, Talandig, Teguahanon, and Umayamnon for the Bukidnon.

01:04It started as a way for them to gather for important events such as the wedding,

01:12the burial of our ancestors, the funeral of our ancestors, and the ceremonies of thanksgiving.

01:19The competition for their traditional dance is fierce.

01:22Their distinctive clothing design makes them stand out.

01:29They are also known as the Cowboy Country,

01:32so part of the celebration is their dance and the burial of their cows.

01:39Their ancestor, Malakita Bukidnon, or Mr. and Ms. Bukidnon,

01:43is not just a beauty pageant, but also a treasure of beauty and wisdom.

01:47It will give glory to their heritage.

01:49Despite the challenges of the Bukidnon,

01:52they continue to prove the strength of their tradition.

01:56Most of all, they are thankful to God for what they have built.
