00:00Meanwhile, the Philippine government and embassy in Myanmar and Thailand continue to monitor the situation of Filipinos following the correction of magnitude 7.7 earthquake.

00:10The details in the national news of Bien Manalo of PCV Manila.

00:16The Department of Migrant Workers assured that they continue to monitor the situation of our countrymen in Thailand and Myanmar.

00:24This is after magnitude 7.7 earthquake hit the two countries last week.

00:30According to the Migrant Workers Department, they continue to look for four missing Filipinos in Mandalay, Myanmar, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

00:40The DMW is also contacting the families of OFWs in the Philippines.

00:45It is also in the Liber Attaché in Bangkok, Thailand and the authorities in Myanmar.

00:51We are closely coordinating with Sec. Ricky Manalo and Usec Eddevega here in Manila and our embassy in Yangon through our Labor Attaché in Bangkok.

01:01One of our concerns now is if there are OFWs or Filipinos who need help in terms of food and water and shelter.

01:11If you remember, there were rescue efforts in Myawaddy, the Thai border in the east of Myanmar, which is a part of Thailand.

01:27As far as we know, those who work in illegal scam operations are currently being the subject of rescue operations.

01:36There are six of them in the government shelter in Myawaddy and the news is that they are safe.

01:41The Philippine Embassy in Myanmar confirmed this on the radio broadcast of Church of the Affairs.

01:47It assured that they continue to look for Filipinos in Myanmar.

01:52In fact, they were able to send an advance team to Mandalay from Yangon to bring aid to the affected Filipinos there.

02:01They already have area coordinator groups that are formed by Filipino volunteers.

02:06They will be their allies in bringing humanitarian assistance.

02:11According to NAYAN, 800 Filipinos are registered in Mandalay, Myanmar, while 300 are here in Marks Safe.

02:19Some flights to Myanmar are still canceled and the communication signal and supply of electricity and water there is still difficult.

02:28But we are doing everything we can to locate all our fellow Filipinos here in Myanmar, especially in Mandalay.

02:36Let's continue to pray for their well-being and we are doing everything we can to help every Filipino here in Myanmar.

02:43DMW is also calling on Filipinos who need help to contact the Philippine Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar and the Philippine Embassy in Thailand.

02:54According to the latest information, more than 2,000 Filipinos in the 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar and Bangkok, Thailand.

03:04More than 3,000 people were injured and more than 100 people lost their lives.
