00:00The Capitol of Bukidnon was declared a heritage building by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

00:13The National Historical Commission of the Philippines, or NHCP, officially announced the historical marker for the Capitol of Bukidnon
00:22as a recognition of the historical importance of this building.
00:26It was not until 1933 that the structure of the Capitol of Bukidnon remained stable and almost unchanged for 72 years.
00:35It confirmed its rich architecture and history.
00:39President Ergalado Trota Jose Jr., the head of the NHCP,
00:44held the unveiling ceremony of the historical marker.
00:47It has been more than a decade since the construction of the Capitol of Bukidnon.
00:59This recognition is in accordance with the 2021-082R ordinance
01:05passed by the board member, Atty. Nemisio Beltran Jr.,
01:09who formally declared the Capitol as a provincial heritage building.
01:14The Capitol of Bukidnon was built on February 25, 1933 under the leadership of Governor Antonio Rubin.
01:23The very first building that was built was made of wood
01:28because it was made by the Bureau of Public Works
01:34in accordance with the separate provision of Bukidnon through Act 2408.
01:42It was rebuilt in 1946 through the Philippine Rehabilitation Act after the Japanese occupation.
01:50This recognition confirms the importance of the Capitol of Bukidnon
01:54as an important part of the history and culture of the province.
