00:00Okay, so I'm going to keep this video quite short and to the point, so that you guys watch
00:08it and understand what we're doing here.
00:11Right, so the protest is going to be in a place called Marine Drive, and the postcode
00:17for that is LA2 6EQ.
00:22I'll put that up in the thingy here or down in the comments, I'll put it somewhere so
00:26you can see it and read it.
00:28Right, so the reason for meeting up there, basically it's this place here, this is where
00:33we're going to meet up.
00:34As with any protest, I guess you've got to consider location.
00:40I was going to do it more down into the town, but looking at the available spaces and not
00:46knowing how many people are going to turn up for this protest, I've decided to do it
00:51up this end of the prom.
00:55There seems to be ample space here for people to park, couple of, well, maybe 50 plus fans
01:01at least.
01:02Got really nice views out to sea.
01:07So I'm guessing this is going to be the meeting point and maybe move on to the town all during
01:16the day or midday or something like that.
01:21I'm still considering how to protest basically, I'm no expert, if you want to help me out
01:30here, give me suggestions, but yeah, this looks like to be the place we'll all meet
01:35up.
01:36What I'll do is I'll put a what3words up, so none of you get lost.
01:43Right, so I'm going to be there from Friday night and the reason we've chosen that spot
01:51is, as I say, there's ample places for everyone to park.
01:55Now we don't know how many people are going to turn up on the day, we're not quite sure.
02:01There's a few people from Facebook and if you want to follow the story a bit more, you
02:06can find us on Facebook and friend us and we'll accept and you can find out more details
02:15there.
02:16But for those of you that don't use Facebook or whatever, you can get your information
02:20here.
02:21So, yeah, we've chosen this spot because there's plenty of places to park, it's a little bit
02:25of a busy road, but in the evenings it should quiet down.
02:29Now we do have a number of other locations, if you're not happy about, um, there's a police
02:38car just cruising by, right, so I wonder if they're going to come and knock and ask me
02:45what I'm doing.
02:46I can sod right off and that'll be good for the video, won't it?
02:50So where was I, I've forgotten where I was now, yeah, the reason we've chosen that spot
02:57is because we're not sure how many is going to turn up, there's ample places to park,
03:01we do have other quieter places that we can go into the evening, Saturday evening, if
03:08you don't like sleeping on the main road, I can give you another location which will
03:11be much quieter, but there are no overnight signs, so, um, and I do have other locations
03:20that will be quieter on side roads if you prefer.
03:25So yeah, what the plan is, is that we'll all meet up there around 11, around 11 o'clock-ish,
03:33and then maybe we'll all drive off towards the town hall and, um, maybe stage our protest
03:39at the town hall in their car park.
03:42The reason we've done it that way is because we want to keep the residents, the locals,
03:48all on our side.
03:50Part of the questions that I've raised, I'll put them down in the comments, I'll put the
03:54letter that I've sent to the councillors that I've got no reply back from, part of
04:00that letter states that, um, the locals haven't been given any knowledge or any say in, in
04:08the parking bans, they've not been consulted, it's going to inflict on their council tax,
04:15they're going to pay more per year for their council tax, so I'm hoping the locals won't
04:21want to do that and will be on our side, and, um, that's why I want to keep them on
04:27side.
04:28I'm hoping that's a smart move for us to make.
04:30Tell me what you think.
04:32So yeah, let's all meet up there, um, basically treat it as a, as a, as a, as a normal meet
04:39up, as a festival or whatever you want to call it, we'll maybe play some music, do whatever
04:44you want to do basically, but it'll be a good, a good chance for everyone to sort of meet
04:48up and say hello and get to meet new and different people, so treat it as a meet up
04:54for the evenings and a bit of a protest during the day, I think it'll be a good, good turnout
04:59if, if we can get enough people to go.
05:01So yeah, plenty of places to park, all free, and, um, we'll see you on the day I guess.
05:09Another day and another park up, um, been here for, oh, best part of a couple of hours,
05:18and we've just had dinner, and, uh, let me just show you over here, have you noticed
05:24though, we always seem to find places with no other vans, so, uh, we're doing quite well
05:31at this, aren't we?
05:32Anyone, I think we've done it before.
05:35So we've got some picnic benches there, oh, hold on, Sue's got something to say.
05:43Can I just clarify that, that wherever I go there's always another bloody van next to
05:48me.
05:49Stalkers.
05:50Keeps following me.
05:55Mr Zebby is hiding in there, you alright Zeb?
06:01And we're going to go for a little walk, have a look around, and, uh, Sue has been a superstar,
06:08she's got a headache, migraine, whatever you want to call it, she's cooked dinner and done
06:14the washing up, um, the truth of the thing is, she called me and said, would I like to
06:23take her out for a meal or something, and I said yeah, or cook for her, and I said yeah,
06:29of course I will, um, but then we realised that we had chicken in the fridge, and my
06:35head was hurting too much to go out, say that again, my head was hurting too much to go
06:40out, so I just thought it would be easier just to stay where we are.
06:45So yeah, um, we're going to just have a cup of tea, go for a little stroll, and that will
06:52be it for tonight I guess, um, there are some signs here that say the gate will be locked,
06:57but our current attitude is we don't care anymore, um, they can lock the gate, if they
07:06lock the gate, that means no one else will come in, yeah, no one else will come in, and
07:10we can't get out can we, so they can't tell us to go, so yeah, sod it, um, let them lock
07:17the gate, it doesn't actually say no overnight parking though, no it doesn't say no overnight
07:21parking, it just says that the gate will be locked, it just says, yeah, that's fine, we
07:24know that, yeah, there's a bin over there by the way, um, always nice to find a place
07:33with a bin. Right, we'll see you in a bit.
