00:00This is Splash! A Century of Swimming in Style and we are exploring the last 100 years of
00:23swimming through the lens of design. So thinking about fashion, thinking about architecture,
00:28thinking about performance design, materials and making, all of these kinds of areas. The
00:33show itself is divided into three sections in which we swim. So we begin in the pool,
00:39we then move into the Lido, where we are now, and we finish in nature. Through those sections
00:45we think about different themes, whether it is leisure, the sort of democratisation of
00:50travel, entertainment, things like Pamela Anderson's swimsuit, swimming on screen, through
00:56to themes like materials and making, health and wellbeing, so these kind of social history
01:02strands as well.
