This Leopard Cub's Reunion Is Wild!

This baby leopard was missing her mommy, so these rescuers reunited them.   Thanks to RESQ Charitable Trust for the footage.

00:00Oh, so you're going to be releasing leopards in our fields?

00:21But there's a leopard cub that has fallen into a well.

00:48Just when she had sufficiently gone in and it was just her tail left, we snapped the

00:53cage down.

00:54Of course, our trap doors are made in such a way that even if the tail is coming out,

00:58it doesn't snap the tail.

00:59These leopards haven't come here from the forest.

01:00They are born, brought up in agricultural fields.

01:01They are sufficiently scared of humans.

01:02So, this was a leopard that has probably grown up in sugar fields.

01:20She was probably born there, maybe her mother was as well.

01:24And there was no question of leaving her at 1 p.m.

01:29There were a couple of them who even told us that actually we're quite advantageous.

01:35You know, the wild boars have not been destroying our fields and also people are a little scared.

01:41So, the robberies and all have reduced because, you know, people have been seeing leopards

01:45in the dark.

01:46No, we do not want to separate a mother from her child.

01:57She was snarling her teeth at me and I was like, yeah, you know, stay wild.

02:19When we see the mother through the live cameras, the door must open up.

02:57It was just a matter of seconds that they were reunited and they were gone in a flash.

03:14But we did get a lot of reports from the local villagers around that they had seen the mother

03:21and the cub together.
