00:29A lot of people don't understand that sexuality is something that you're born with, it's not a choice.
00:34How can we sensitize society towards this?
00:37A lot of people don't understand that sexuality is something that you're born with, it's not a choice.
00:47Whether you like a man, whether you like a woman, whether you like both, whether you want to be a man, whether you want to be a woman, it's not a choice.
00:57Hopefully, with Section 377 being revoked, homosexuality is not looked at as illegal or a crime anymore.
01:13But that stigma needs to go from people's minds, and that is a long time coming.
01:21Society in general likes to control who women or men love, who they want to love, and who they can love.
01:32Whether it's different ethnicities, whether it's different sexuality, whether it is an age barrier.
01:40They're ageist, they're sexist, and they're homophobic. And you just want to control it.
01:47In India and world over, how can we change the views of the older generation?
01:51There is obviously a change, societally and in India, in terms of how people have to let relationships and let love be.
02:03I mean, there are so many honor killings, there are still so many people who kind of have to run away from their house, or they are disowned by their parents or by their family.
02:13But at the same time, I think films and art is such a medium that it can also entertain and educate at the same time.
02:23So society has changed a little bit, but not as much as it should.
