00:00The younger population are in a habit of having junk food, that means they are more prone to get obese.
00:06That means these patients will be at higher risk of COVID-19 infection causing complications.
00:18Those people who are obese, they have comorbidities, they have other problems
00:23like diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension. So these obese people are at risk of these
00:30comorbidities and definitely when your immune system is weakened, you are at higher risk of
00:36COVID-19 infection. It has been seen by CDC, which is Central Disease Control, that if your
00:42body mass index is more than 40 kg per meter square, the risk of infections is higher.
00:53In diabetes, your body glucose is high, so if somebody has high sugar levels, high
01:16glucose in the body, the infection, the viral infection will grow
01:21easier, will stay in the body for a long time.
01:29As the age grows, the chance of infection lingering on or causing complications goes up.
01:34That also stands true in COVID-19 because it's a viral infection,
01:38but you need to understand one thing because the younger population
01:42are in a habit of eating junk food, that means they are more prone to get obese.
01:48As they are more prone to get obese, there are more chances of having issues like diabetes,
01:53hypertension and heart disease at a younger age. That means these patients will be at higher risk
01:58of COVID-19 infection causing complications. We people are not doing much of physical activity,
02:14we are not going out of our houses, so we can do exercises at home. Along with that,
02:22we should not eat too much. If we have to eat healthy food, avoid junk food, avoid oily foods,
02:29avoid things which have a lot of sugar in it. Precautions, what you need to take is that you
02:34have to stay at home. The general precautions, what the government is telling, what everybody
02:37is saying, stay at home, maintain social distancing, those who are obese, those who
02:43have diabetes, those who have hypertension, those who have other comorbidities, please don't panic.
02:49These things are for your understanding. Please understand what I am talking right now
02:54is for precautions so that you can stay at home so that you don't land up in trouble.
