00:00You
00:30You
01:00You
01:30Yeah
01:37Yeah, I
01:42Feel like an astronaut
01:45Wow, I really don't know where we are
01:48Or where I am
01:50But I'm okay
01:52And I think I beat all the records
01:56Thank you very much to all
01:58Part of this project
02:01It's been an epic journey
02:04One more for the books, yeah
02:28You
02:38What
02:40Oh
02:56All right, just drop the extra pilot you handle this man
03:10My ears on gloves
03:41You
03:42You're an animal. We're 30 miles away from where you exited right now. No way preliminary. I think you blasted the record
03:59So, my name is Sebastian Alvarez, I'm a Chilean
04:02Professional skydiver and today we are here in Tennessee. I just landed a few hours ago and we beat several records
04:10The project that I just did
04:13it's
04:14It's about
04:16Trying to break as many records as we can in only one jump. This is a wingsuit
04:22skydiving
04:24so basically try to
04:28Fly the longest the furthest and the fastest I am pretty happy to land safe and
04:36Have broke three world records
04:39It was really ambitious because no human before has ever
04:44Attempt to break three or more records in only one jump
04:48So so yes, of course
04:50I get emotional because after so long of this idea that came so long
04:54Probably six seven years ago when I just we start talking about this and then this last two years where we start focusing more
05:01And then of course these last three months where you push as hard as you can in order to to reduce your weight
05:08to to perform to train in the sky and train in the in the ground to select the proper wingsuit to
05:15Select the proper place plain day, but it feels pretty good to be
05:20Really fast, especially the fastest human alive, you know
05:23And yeah, it is very demanding to fly at that speed because your body needs to be really rigid
05:30Exactly as a wing of a plane in in short words the whole flight. It's it's a long morning where we
05:37need to do a pre-breathe because of the saturation of the blood the oxygen and
05:42Then that takes almost an hour and then it's a it's a very fast climb with this powerful
05:49Plane that I have on my back
05:51In order to reach the highest altitude possible in this case was around
05:5641,000 feet and then it comes of course the oxygen supply which
06:02Which is a very if not the most important
06:07Factor in this project after I exit the main thing is to exit the stable
06:14at that speed is very difficult, but I managed to do it and
06:19Finally, it's just glide first is going as fast as possible
06:24Then glide for the most distant possible and finally
06:30around 12,000 feet I change a bit the angle in order to create the
06:34The
06:35longest in time possible
06:37Everything that we use for this project. It was a special made thermal electrical thermal layers
06:43were special socks hands gloves and
06:48The core needs to be warm in order to stay in temperature
06:52And then the wingsuit is a special wingsuit
06:55Made for this project in order to glide and also keep the speed and also keep the time you always question
07:02Yourself and the different situation that can happen along the way
07:07But I think like it's very important to believe in what you
07:11You are your your goals are of course happens to me sometimes
07:15I think to myself and I'm too crazy because this is very ambitious
07:19You know, nobody has ever done this before so so you're entering in a tunnel that sometimes you don't see the light
07:26so
07:27but again like with the proper
07:29Proper training proper mental training proper
07:35Flights and and techno using the technology in order to
07:39Basically do the math and compare situations and and if you can do that
07:44Then you might be able to to do it in the air, you know
07:48I always said I get married with projects, you know, because you need to be fully on on this
07:53You need to believe you need to work on the project you need to
07:57Treated us as he deserved to be treated be patient, you know, there were days that of course I doubt about it
08:04There was really hard days
08:06Of training, you know, sometimes you want to quit but then it's again like mental game
08:10I don't think I'm gonna who knows but I don't think I'm gonna repeat something like this
08:15I don't feel like I need it this you reach a point as a the peak of an athlete and then you just need to
08:21let it go and
08:23What I like it is this might help to others to
08:27Have motivation in order to or become a skydiver or fly better, you know
