00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
00:08At the moment, we are being watched by a low-pressure area inside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:14If we see this green circle, it means that we do not expect that this so-called low-pressure area will become a typhoon.
00:23As of 3 a.m., it will be visible at a distance of 645 kilometers, the east coast of Southeastern Mindanao.
00:29And if we see here in our latest satellite animation, even though the center of this low-pressure area is near,
00:35it is still possible for rain to fall on the east coast of Visayas and Mindanao.
00:43Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the rest of our country, we are expecting cloudy to cloudy conditions today.
00:50So, it is still possible for hot weather, especially when it comes to the afternoon.
00:54And when it comes to the afternoon and the evening, there is a higher chance of isolated or sudden rainfall,
01:00such as thunderstorms.
01:02In the coming days, while this low-pressure area is getting closer to our land,
01:06it is still possible for rain to fall on the east coast of Visayas and Mindanao, as well as in the Bicol Region.
01:13And it is also possible for the provinces in Visayas and the Mimaropa area to be affected.
01:21So, the weather will be good today in Luzon.
01:24The cloudy and hot weather will continue, especially when it comes to the afternoon.
01:28If it rains, it will only be accelerated by rainfall, such as isolated thunderstorms.
01:36As for the temperature forecast for the neighboring cities in Luzon,
01:40it will be around 22 to 32 degrees Celsius,
01:4415 to 25 for Baguio City,
01:46and we are expecting the temperature to reach 34 degrees Celsius for Metro Manila and Tuguegarao.
01:55Here in Tagaytay, the temperature will be around 21 to 33 degrees Celsius,
02:01and 24 to 31 degrees Celsius for Legazpi City.
02:06The weather forecast for the rest of the country will be based on the effect of the low-pressure area.
02:11We are expecting dark weather in the eastern part of Visayas,
02:15central Visayas, Siquijor, Caraga, and Davao Region.
02:19And the mentioned areas will be affected by the scattered rainfall and thunderstorms.
02:25Especially in the eastern part of Visayas,
02:29because it is possible to experience heavy rainfall later in the afternoon,
02:32which may result in floods and landslides.
02:37Meanwhile, for the rest of the country,
02:39for the rest of Visayas, Mindanao, and here in Palawan,
02:42we have cloudy to cloudy conditions today.
02:45And if it rains, it will be caused by isolated thunderstorms.
02:51As for the temperature forecast for the neighboring cities,
02:53for Palawan, it may reach 33 degrees Celsius for Puerto Princesa and Kalayaan Islands.
03:01Here in Visayas, for Iloilo, the temperature will be around 23 to 32 degrees Celsius,
03:08and 31 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures for Metro Cebu and Tacloban.
03:13For Mindanao, Zamboanga, it will be around 24 to 33 degrees Celsius,
03:1832 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures for Metro Davao.
03:21And for Cagayan de Oro, the temperature will be around 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:29Yesterday, according to our forecast,
03:32the heat index recorded here in Metro Manila reached 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.
03:39And the highest index recorded yesterday was in Dagupan City, Pangasinan,
03:45which reached 47 degrees Celsius.
03:48It was followed by Vera Catanduanes and Pilica Marines Sur, which reached 45 degrees Celsius,
03:54and followed by Valer Aurora, San Ildelfonso Bulacan, Legazpi City, Albay,
03:59and in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, which reached 42 degrees Celsius.
04:05According to our forecast for today,
04:07the heat index here in Metro Manila may reach 38 to 39 degrees Celsius,
04:13and the highest index is still possible in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, which may reach 47 degrees Celsius,
04:20and followed by San Ildelfonso Bulacan, which may reach 43 degrees Celsius.
04:26That's why we should stay hydrated today, fellow citizens.
