00:00We have been in the Philippines to meet Mirna who installs solar lamps in remote areas.
00:27Our vision is to bring technology to the communities that has no electricity.
00:33So this is for children?
00:34Yeah, this is for children.
00:36We call this study lamp.
00:38Before they can't study well because they only use the gas, the kerosene.
00:44But now, even at night, at 11, their kids could still read their books.
00:50I'll show you how to make it.
04:27If it breaks, you can change each component easily.
04:56Most of the lamps you can buy in the market are not made to be repaired.
04:59It's usually cheaper to throw it away and buy a new one.
05:02Which is sad because our dumps are full of components that still work.
