00:00Don't worry about being cool or being f***ing rich or having money.
00:03Just be passionate about what you're passionate about and f***ing dedicate 100%, you know?
00:24I mean, to this day, if I don't play the drums, at least every other day or every day, I don't feel right.
00:29And then when I finally do play, I'm like, oh my gosh.
00:49I wanted to kick it off by acknowledging someone I found out was a childhood idol.
00:55We have a picture.
00:57Yes, that was like the main reason I picked up drumsticks.
01:01I dressed like a little skate rat, you know, like Palo Alto shirts and cut up shorts and bands.
01:30Kind of like what I dress like now, really.
01:32I haven't really changed much.
01:35It's a beautiful thing.
02:00His name is F***boy, his name is Hot Pants and mine is Fish Guts for various reasons that we can't really go into.
02:30Hey, guys, check this out.
02:38Oh, my God.
02:39That guy's in my class.
02:41Oh, no.
02:42Go, boy.
02:43It's your birthday.
02:53It was just the passion for wanting to do something, you know, just like when I started music.
03:00These are all my cars.
03:07I watch Cribs a lot.
03:10I hear everybody talking about Bentleys or Mercedes, whatever.
03:14I'm into Cadillacs.
03:30I'm into Cadillacs.
03:32I'm into Cadillacs.
04:04Meet Travis.
04:05He's the ultimate musician.
04:06He's a wonderful father.
04:09In a hopeless romance.
04:10Beautiful.
04:33I've always been very fortunate to be in bands where the other members in the bands have
04:55open minds, so I can always really push the limit or try new things, whether it be a Latin
05:02beat in a song or, you know, just something that you really wouldn't expect to be maybe
05:09in a punk rock or a rock song.
05:27Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM, are currently being treated for second
05:33and third degree burns.
05:35Barker suffered from burns on his torso and lower body, and Goldstein suffered from burns
05:40on his arm and his head.
05:53It was a lot.
05:54It was a lot to deal with.
05:55Wondering, like, am I supposed to be here, is this an accident?
05:59Living in my new skin, which, you know, 65% of my body was grafts, it was just a lot to
06:05deal with, but I found that not medicating and not masking and, you know, like dealing
06:11with my problems, you know, face on, like head on, with no medication or anyone to kind
06:17of mask it was the best possible thing I could do.
06:45I became addicted with, you know, just music, music without, you know, having to be loaded
06:5224-7 and working out, like going boxing and skateboarding and, you know, my same obsession
06:59with my cars and old school bicycles, tattoos, it never changes.
07:04You know, all my other interests stayed the same, I just did away with the one that would
07:08eventually kill me.
07:38When I'm done touring and I'm done playing this crazy, you know, rebellious, you know,
08:07fast music or whatever, I'd love to play, like, you know, on the Tonight Show or just
08:12have, like, a gig like that where I get to play jazz.
08:14I grew up playing jazz.
