00:30What is the difference between geckos and bees?
00:33Geckos and bees differ quite easily.
00:37There is one remarkable feature,
00:41most bees are hairy,
00:45while geckos have a completely smooth body.
00:49Another remarkable feature, morphologically,
00:53is what we call the gecko size.
00:55In bees, there is no fine junction
00:59between the thorax and the abdomen,
01:01so they are very close together,
01:03much more hairy.
01:25What is the role of geckos in the ecosystem?
01:35No matter what we say,
01:37geckos have a crucial interest in the ecosystem,
01:41in the biodiversity.
01:43They have a major role because they are predators.
01:46They hunt other small insects
01:50to feed their larvae in the nest.
01:55So they have an interest in regulating the population
01:59of insects that humans will sometimes consider harmful.
02:02And besides that, animals that we appreciate a lot,
02:06like birds,
02:07will consume geckos for their food.
02:11What is the role of geckos in the ecosystem?
02:16Geckos have a crucial interest in the ecosystem,
02:20in the biodiversity.
02:22They hunt other small insects
02:25to feed their larvae in the nest.
02:28And besides that, animals that we appreciate a lot,
02:32like birds,
02:33will consume geckos for their food.
02:36What is the role of geckos in the ecosystem?
02:51What also gives us the impression
02:54of seeing a lot of geckos
02:56is that it doesn't rain a lot,
02:59and not enough.
03:00And so these insects will come,
03:02will get closer to humans,
03:05who will be on their terrace,
03:07who will be having a barbecue,
03:09who will be in their pool,
03:10to be able to drink.
03:12The hotter the summers,
03:14and especially the hotter the springs,
03:16the smaller the nests,
03:18geckos, frogs, and others,
03:20will be large,
03:23and will be built very early.
