00:00It changed the constitution of the United States, and I was so baffled that it wasn't more well known.
00:23I say I think that marrying who you want to is a right that no man should have anything to do with.
00:29It's a God-given right, I think.
00:45It's important because it makes us realize what so many people in the black community had to live under in the Jim Crow South,
00:52and a lot of people that probably live under it today.
00:55You know, this psychological oppression.
01:15I guess the worst thing is spending a little time in jail. That's the worst thing.
01:55This is something we should talk about in schools. The importance that it had to the civil rights movement,
01:59but also the importance that it has to America, and the fabric of our country that is very relevant today.
02:25I truly believe this is one of the most pure love stories in American history.
