9-Year-Old Makes Dolls To Empower Girls of All Races

This 9-year-old girl created a line of dolls so little brown girls could have dolls that looked just like them.  Special thanks to Zoe's Dolls.

00:06Zoey's Dolls want Little Brown Girls to know that we may look different, but we are beautiful.

00:14In my company, Zoey's Dolls gives Little Brown Dolls to Little Brown Girls in need around Christmas.

00:31The reason I started Zoey's Dolls, because when I was in kindergarten, I was bullied because I was different.

00:40My hair was different, it was puffy, and my skin was very dark from everybody in my class.

00:49They would pick on me, and it would make me feel very sad.

01:01Every year around Christmas time, my mom used to make me give away one of my toys.

01:11Since I started Zoey's Dolls, I've given out over $2,000 to little girls in South Florida.

01:19And we even ship dolls to Haiti and Africa.

01:22The world gave you something, why not do the same thing?

01:26It is helping their moms and dads, and for the children to have a doll.

01:32And if they can't afford it, it takes like a little bit off their hands.

01:37And so they can wake up Christmas morning, and they can have a gift, and they can be happy.
