00:00What's going on right here
00:17A guy named adrian posted a video to tiktok
00:20About his little birthday get together
00:23But because it blew up and so many people found out about it
00:26It became a big joke like oh, we should all show up to this guy's party
00:30To celebrate and it just became so big that thousands of people from all over
00:35Different states decided to come and celebrate
00:45Saturday night
00:46It started right before the sun went down. Everyone was standing around
00:51A big crowd formed and people were just playing music
00:55And then there were dozens of cops at least like at least like 100 cops waiting
01:02and
01:03When someone threw a firework, uh all the cops
01:07Uh went on the loudspeaker and said get off the beach or we'll start shooting with non-lethal rounds
01:13And so that's when everyone started running. It was like a big
01:16Like panic so there were thousands of people just running around running away from the cops
01:22and from that point
01:24Once everyone ran away from the beach. We all got together at the main pier in huntington
01:29and that's where
01:31It became like the main event. Everyone was just in one big crowd with fireworks and jumping off the pier
01:37and uh
01:39Eventually the cops managed to get everyone away from the pier into the street
01:43and so the rest of the night everyone was just in the street shooting fireworks or listening to music or
01:49whatever else
01:54So
02:11Definitely people were doing things they weren't supposed to be doing the entire party itself was something that shouldn't have happened during covid
02:18And regardless of the acts of vandalism and the people's cars getting damaged and the buildings getting damaged
02:26Um when I was there people were breaking cop windows and people were spray painting the cop cars
02:32But in general that wasn't the majority of people
02:34I think it was a very unique experience for so many people to be in one place for the same thing
02:40But no one knowing what's going to happen. There was a very like thick
02:45Sense of expecting and
02:49curiosity
02:50uh
02:51Everyone there even though we were all strangers and from different places. We all had a sense of solidarity
02:58and felt
02:59Safe with one another
03:01I think a lot of people have been cooped in for so long that they jumped at the chance to have a big
03:07party like this
03:15You
