00:00I wanted to work with him for a long time too, he just didn't know.
00:03He's a genius, and I don't use that word lightly, he's a genius.
00:15I feel like, I feel like I've been baptized.
00:30I just call and send, you know, I send the script, the story I'm in, and read it, and loved it.
00:43There is a specific style in which you, I've grown accustomed to with Wes, and,
00:49and, you know, I think it's, it's a journey of discovery. I think you need to discover on
00:55your own and communicate with the director. It's not really for another actor to weigh in,
00:58but I think it's a, it's a, you know, I listen when I work with an actor, and I try to be present,
01:06and I love the, the range of which Benicio brought to his character and the choices he made.
01:14And whether I knew of a choice would probably be to one direction or another for Wes's sensibility,
01:22I love the process as an actor of engaging with him, and, and dancing, and, and, and then what
01:28you build is this, this final thing, and I feel like by Benicio finding his way within that
01:39specificity, he brought a lot of humanity into that role.
01:43And that comes from him as well. I mean, I just, I can't do that alone.
01:47You know, it all happens together, and the trick is how, when you, when you...
01:51You could do it alone, but I, but I appreciate that.
01:53No, but, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:55What I love about Wes is how specific and prepared he is, beyond the scope of understanding the
02:02character and communicating with an actor about what your motivation is, why this would happen,
02:08he, it's, it's an orchestra, it's an orchestra, it's an elaborate thing, and, and so much thought
02:17goes into every nuance. He's a genius, and I don't use that word lightly, he's a genius,
02:22and when you're in the, in the proximity of a genius, and they, and you like them genuinely
02:29as a person, and they elevate you, and make you better at what you do, that's the biggest gift
02:36you can ever have, and I love Wes for that. I love, I love his, his genius, and I love his,
02:44um, curiosity, and his child, childlike enthusiasm for the world, and, and, and, and,
02:55and his attention to detail, and he nurtured, and he nurtures everyone, he just nurtures you,
03:01makes Benicio a part of the family, he made me a part of this family, I, and, uh, you know,
03:07Timothy is welcome, and there'll be other wonderful people that kind of join the troupe,
03:12and it's just kind of like a big, expanding, wonderful circus with all of these unique people,
03:18and characters, and it's, it's amazing. Do you feel like you're part of the family now?
03:24I hope so, yeah, I sort of, you know, I hope so, yes, yes, I do, I do, I feel like, uh, yeah,
03:32I feel like I, I've been baptized. He earned his stay. I, I, yeah, thank you, thank you, thank you.
03:42you
