00:00Hi, I'm Leo Noakes, a.k.a. Violet Vixen, and I'm 11 years young.
00:07And you are a...
00:09Alien.
00:11Drag queen.
00:24I am literally Violet Vixen in and out.
00:26So it's a drag queen slash drag kid
00:29who literally just pulls out any snatched looks
00:33and lives their life.
00:35Most people in my school didn't like me doing drag,
00:39but I had to let them know that I am not going to change,
00:43so get used to it, honey.
00:51I was obsessed with cars.
00:55I was searching up on Netflix to see if there was a programme on there,
00:58which was drag racing, and I came across Drag Race.
01:02So I started watching it, and I'm like...
01:07This ain't drag racing.
01:13I'd like to build a platform for people to express themselves.
01:18My favourite thing about drag is the personality change.
01:22You gain confidence, and it's like a toolbox.
01:25You're having all the tools just to build yourself into the best you.
01:31I think there's a sort of preconception that drag is all sexual,
01:36and it's actually not. Drag can be anything that you want it to be.
01:38I would say to any children or parents who don't understand what drag is,
01:44is to go to a drag show and experience all the positivity that's there.
01:51You can have your own personal thoughts about it.
01:53Just know that we're having fun, and that's literally all we want to do.
02:02I think drag has done tremendous things for Leo.
02:06It's really allowed him to be himself.
02:10It's sort of allowed him to see that there are other people like him,
02:14and actually what he was feeling and what he was wanting to be
02:17wasn't abnormal or strange.
02:19Dressing up like this gives him the confidence to say these sorts of things,
02:22and I think it's brilliant that a person can actually have that kind of confidence in themselves
02:28about how great they are.
02:32Don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm amazing.
