How to make compost in your garden

00:00Today, we're going to learn how to make our own compost to turn our organic waste into fertilizers.
00:13It's important because organic waste in our trash cans represents more than a third of what we find in them,
00:18and generally they end up incinerated or buried.
00:31Once we have our waste, we take it and bring it to the composter.
00:37To make our compost, we have to create piles, and in particular, we're going to put all our organic waste and organic matter in a pile in our garden.
00:45We're going to have two types of compost in general, so it's going to be the compost that's going to use the bacteria,
00:49like the piles we made in our garden or in a neighborhood compost,
00:53or we're going to prioritize a composting worm that's going to use the worms,
00:57and it's generally advisable to use it in your cellar and not in your kitchen, especially because of the smell.
01:08Carbon is going to be dry, brown and hard, and nitrogen is going to be green, wet and humid.
01:17We have the shells, or we still have the peelings of vegetables.
01:28Last rule, to make our compost, we're going to be able to add nettles that are going to lower the temperature of the compost,
01:35or ashes that are going to remove unwanted insects or limes.
01:40It's going to have an impact on how we make our compost.
01:42In particular, it's going to be the fertilizer that we're going to be able to use for its production in our garden,
01:45and it's better to use natural fertilizers than to work with chemical materials.
