00:00The one thing I really took away from this experience is how the world views women.
00:06And it was quite disturbing to me, to be honest.
00:08And there are some exceptions, I will say.
00:12But for the most part, I was surprised with the representation of female characters on screen.
00:20I do hope that when we include more female storytellers, we will have more
00:33of the women that I recognize in my day-to-day life.
00:37Ones that are proactive, have their own agencies,
00:42don't just react to the men around them.
00:46They have their own point of view.
00:51I completely agree with Jessica.
00:56And we spoke a lot about that issue with Maren and with Jessica and with all the jury.
01:03While being always surrounded by men, or men doing this job,
01:07sometimes the impression comes up that it's maybe not a good job for a woman.
01:15And I think that's completely wrong.
01:16And I think we need much more women doing films,
01:20just because we all want the film business to reflect modern society and the way it is now.
