00:45My mom grew up on this west side of San Antonio
00:49and she got involved in politics a long time ago
00:53because she wanted to improve her community here on the west side
00:57to make sure that folks had basic things like streets and drainage.
01:02And so she got active back then in the Young Democrats
01:06and then she ran when she was 23 years old.
01:27I stand before you tonight
01:57as a young American, a proud American,
02:01of a generation born as the Cold War receded,
02:04shaped by the tragedy of 9-11,
02:07connected by the digital revolution,
02:10and determined to re-elect the man who will make the 21st century
02:14another American century, President Barack Obama.
02:26Julian has lived the American dream.
02:36And it's precisely because he's lived out the American dream
02:40that he'll work his tail off to make sure more people can travel that same path
02:44and earn their own dreams as well.
02:57In the Obama administration, we made ending homelessness a priority,
03:01starting with veteran homelessness.

03:33There are people that have more name ID.
03:35But, you know, I was thinking the other day,
03:37I don't think at any time in my life that I've started out as a frontrunner.
03:56I don't buy the BS that women and children and families coming to our southern border
04:01pose a national security threat to the United States of America.
04:05I don't believe that they are criminals.
04:07I don't believe that they should be treated as criminals.
04:10I believe that we need to repeal Section 1325 of the Immigration and Nationality Act,
04:15that we need to stop family detention in this country.
04:26On January 20, 2021, we'll say adios to Donald Trump.
