00:00We support Earth, and then we are, and then polar bears!
00:05I want Japanese people to think more about the environment on Earth.
00:09We want to have a future, and we want everyone on this planet to have a future.
00:12I want each and everyone to know to change their mindset.
00:16For physicists and the government to understand that we all want change.
00:19Please, a change. A radical change.
00:23I'm here because I believe that this planet is our home, and we have a right to protect our home.
00:28We should be exercising our political right to live in peace and harmony with each other.
00:32And I'm here not just for myself, but I'm here for every other young person around the world
00:37who doesn't have a voice to protect their home.
00:39You see in the news how glaciers are melting, there are places that are already deforesting.
00:45A great and terrible example is the burning of the Amazon.
00:49The consequences of climate change are already here.
00:51If you look at the summer we had, we're talking about the sixth mass extinction.
00:55There is a species that disappears every 20 minutes.
00:57This man-made change does not only affect us, it affects every organism on Earth.
01:03From plants to animals to humans, it affects everyone.
01:07I really don't want to see all this beauty just being destroyed like this.
01:13We don't want Earth to die.
01:16I think environmental issues are going to happen in the future.
01:22We young people will do our best for the children of the future,
01:27so I would like you to take a stand against these issues.
01:32You can have health, you can have education, you can have a family,
01:36but without this planet, we have nothing.
01:38And I don't understand why people don't understand this fact.
01:42It's a fact. We don't have a choice.
01:44We still have a long way to go, but our future is in danger.
01:49So it's only natural that I'm going to take a stand,
01:51and that a lot of young people are going to take a stand,
01:53because we simply want a secure life, not a future in danger.
01:57If young people take a stand, it's wrong for us to stand here and protest.
02:05I really hope that Japan's policies will be more environmentally friendly.
02:11You have the power to do something about it.
02:14You have the power to make laws that protect nature,
02:17laws that prohibit the use of plastic, that prohibit the generation of garbage.
02:22You can make laws to reduce meat consumption.
02:25You have the power to do a lot of things,
02:27and I think you should use it for the common good of all, not just for the good of a few.
02:30I am here to stop climate change, because they want our government to do something about it.
02:35I'm here because I need to tell the government that they need to change their ways,
02:40because climate change is coming, and you need to respect your mother.
02:45I just want the political leaders to tell everybody, to encourage,
02:50to encourage everybody that they should not kill their environment.
02:57Everybody knows that there is a problem,
02:59everybody is asking what climate change is,
03:01everybody knows what's going on, but nobody is doing anything.
03:05We've been protesting for 6 to 8 months,
03:07we've been taking action against civil disobedience,
03:09and there's still nothing.
03:11Big companies continue to pollute,
03:13the government continues to listen,
03:15so we continue, and we will continue until they take measures to the extent of urgency.
