00:00The AFP is scheduled to send a new Typhoon Missile System to the US tomorrow

00:05that can reach the targets up to China from the Philippines.

00:09But the AFP clarified that it's just for practice.

00:19In a ceremony at Fort Pagsaysay in Nueva Ecija,

00:22the Philippine Army launched the Salaknib and Balikatan Exercises 2025 or SABAC 2025.

00:29Troops of the Philippine Army and US Army Pacific will train in different locations in the Philippines.

00:34According to the Philippine Army,

00:36the joint all-domain operations, war-fighting capabilities,

00:40and the expansion of the territory of the Philippines,

00:43as well as the humanitarian assistance and counter-intelligence.

00:46In the Salaknib exercise,

00:483,000 Filipinos and 2,000 American soldiers will participate in different training

00:53that will be conducted from March to July.

00:56In the Salaknib exercise in 2024,

00:58the US deployed the Typhoon Medium-Range Capability Missile System

01:03that can destroy missiles from the Philippines

01:06to the eastern China, Taiwan, or any part of the West Philippine Sea.

01:10China repeatedly threatened the maintenance of the Typhoon in the Philippines.

01:15But the missile system is still in the country,

01:18some of which were transferred from the northern part of Ilocos

01:21towards the designated area.

01:24Now, the AFP has received a message from the US Indo-Pacific Command

01:28that another battery of the MRC will be sent to the region.

01:32If it is sent to the Philippines, it is ready to be received by the AFP.

01:36The more, the merrier.

01:37So the more assets that we have,

01:39the more also that we are able to train more personnel on our part.

01:43So we are accepting this willingly.

01:46To clarify, the AFP will not fight the Typhoon in other countries

01:51and will only practice to be ready

01:54if the Philippines buys it.

01:56China has yet to say anything about this.
