00:00Dear Senate, these are some tips in case you ever find yourself with another active shooter on the premises.
00:04Number one, barricade the doors with chairs and desks.
00:07It makes it harder for them to get in, and if they ever wedge their gun in, they can't really aim at anyone specifically.
00:12They broke the glass? Everybody stay down! Get down!
00:32I feel so bad for our congressmen and women. Like, no one deserves this.
00:44They didn't deserve this. I feel really bad for them.
00:46This is a very terrifying situation.
00:48But, like, because of some of the policies they've passed or, like, failed to pass, this is just another random Tuesday at a random American public school.
00:59I mean, who doesn't remember fearfully huddling underneath their desks because some armed madman has entered their school?
01:05Like, if you left school without having your life threatened at least once, did you really go to an American public school?
01:29Number two, turn off all the lights and stay very, very quiet and hope they just skip your door and go into another room.
01:37And number three, if they do end up getting in your room, remember to run in a zigzag.
01:41It makes it harder for them to get you.
01:43Now, four, when they start firing, get on the floor and pretend like you're dead so they don't waste any bullets on you.
01:48Okay, now you just survived an active shooter! Congrats!
01:51Remember to meet at the lawn in your designated lines so we know you survived!
01:56Oh, and remember, don't run away!
01:58Now, I really, really hope this helped.
02:00Sincerely, every member of the American student body.
02:03Someone on CNN just said that they didn't come to the United States Congress to be in a war zone.
02:08That's the exact same argument that children have been using for three decades.
02:15So, maybe do something about it because they're children and you're adults in positions of power to make change.
02:24I just finished watching a video where a sixth grader was talking to their teacher.
02:32And he was genuinely confused why everybody is making such a big deal about the active shooters and the reigning of capital.
02:45Because he said, well, we had an active shooter last year.
02:49So, you know, everybody is okay.
02:58He was so desensitized to active shooters because our children faced this type of shit before our kids.
03:08There's something so wrong in our country.
