00:00Hello, I'm Greg Wright of the Yorkshire Post. It's been revealed that Fulneck School, which
00:07dates back to 1753, has told its 300 pupils it is to close in just four months. Fulneck
00:15School said in a statement that, following a detailed and careful review of the school,
00:21it was with great sadness that the school is announcing the proposed plan to close Fulneck
00:25stores for good at the end of the school year. The statement said, Fulneck has been
00:32impacted by a constant decline in the number of students for several years, which was compounded
00:37by the pandemic, resulting in an unsustainable decline in students. The decline in student
00:44numbers has been combined with a rising cost beyond our control, which has made the school
00:49financially unviable. My name's Greg Wright. I'm the Deputy Business
00:54Editor of the Yorkshire Post.
