00:16Women's issues come first for PM turn away
00:46BJP promised 2,500 for women before elections.
01:16BJP promised 2,500 for women before elections.
01:46There is a lot of difference between you and us.
01:52You only made promises, we keep our promises.
01:56You only made promises, we keep our promises.
02:01You used to abuse PM, LG and the governments of other states.
02:07We have decided to work together.
02:11Your educated government used to use its intelligence to create conspiracy schemes.
02:19Your educated government used to use its intelligence to create conspiracy schemes.
02:22And we are going to use our intelligence to solve the problems of Delhi.
02:27There is a lot of difference.
02:29BJP had announced that Delhi's poor women will be given 2,500 rupees per month.
02:35I am very happy to announce that we have decided to implement this scheme not only as a women's suffrage scheme.
02:43In 2025-26, we have allocated 5.1 billion rupees to this scheme.
02:51In addition, we have allocated 21,000 rupees to pregnant women under Matratvu Vandana Pariyojana.
03:06We have allocated 210 crores to this scheme.
03:21BJP made electoral promises just before elections during the campaign, isn't it?
03:26What we can see is that there is a major jump in the Delhi budget.
03:32The very first budget that has been tabled by CM Rekha Gupta at this point in time in Delhi assembly.
03:39And last time around when the Aam Aadmi Party was in power in the national capital,
03:44the total budget of the national capital was rupees 76,000 crores.
03:48But BJP made its first budget in the national capital.
03:52CM Rekha Gupta has said that the budget is rupees 1 lakh crores.
03:56So, nearly 24,000 crores jump in the very first budget of the Bharatiya Janata Party that is being tabled in Delhi assembly right now.
04:03Along with that, everyone's eye was whether there will be budgetary allocation for the Mahila Samman Yojana or Mahila Samriddhi Yojana,
04:12the financial assistance for women that was promised by the BJP in the run-up of the Delhi assembly elections,
04:18of rupees 2,500 financial assistance to each woman in the national capital, women voters in the national capital.
04:25So, for that particular scheme, rupees 5,100 crores has been allocated by the BJP-led Delhi government.
04:31More importantly, the BJP in the poll campaign was speaking about providing affordable food to the urban poor in the national capital.
04:41And for that, 100 Atal canteens are going to be opened in the national capital.
04:46And rupees 100 crores has been allocated for this particular Atal canteen.
04:51Importantly, this Atal canteen in national capital will be started on the eve of the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Atal Jihari Vajpayee.
05:04So, major, major announcements, allocations being made in the very first budget of the Rekha Gupta, government of the BJP, government of the national capital.
05:13What is to be said very clearly is that the focus of this particular budget is going to be on infrastructure,
05:21because we know for a matter of fact that the BJP had made it a major poll point during the election, campaign point during the election,
05:29and we know for a matter of fact that the infrastructure in the national capital is not up to the mark,
05:32whether it has been shuttered during the Aam Aadmi Party government, 10 years of their government,
05:38and that is why they will bring an infrastructure ramp up in the national capital.
05:44And Rekha Gupta, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has already indicated that as per the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
05:50the infrastructure will be getting a major push in the national capital.
05:54Now what is to be seen is as to whether there will be a cut on the budgetary allocation for the health, education, and electricity sector, power sector,
06:03because these have been the areas where the Aam Aadmi Party government used to invest nearly 22% of the total budgetary allocation used to go to the education sector,
06:1311% to the health sector, and nearly 10% to the power sector.
06:19So is there going to be any cut to the allocation of the health, power, and education sector?
06:25That is to be seen, but very clearly the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, making it clear that the focus is going to be on infrastructure development.
06:32That's one point. Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, Rs. 5,100 crores being allocated for that,
06:37Rs. 100 crores for Atal Canteen in the national capital, which will be used not only to provide affordable fooding to the people in Delhi,
06:47but also to bring up the infrastructure of Atal Canteen across the national capital.
06:52So the budget is being read out by the Chief Minister right now, and what we are given to understand is that the major focus is going to be on the infrastructure sector.
07:01Back to you.
