00:22where you can see the rich culture and flourishing furniture industry in the country.
00:28Our goal is to reposition ourselves back not only here in the domestic market
00:34but also on the international stage.
00:36This year, the Philippine Furniture Show aims to show again
00:41that the Philippines is one of the world's top furniture designers.
00:45We have always been known as the Milan of Asia before
00:48and that tagline was given because of our ingenuity and the skills of our people.
00:56But we just want to bring that back again, thus we have shows like this.
01:02This event is not only to show the skills of furniture designers
01:07but also to introduce the creativity of the artisans to the younger generation.
01:12This year, the main theme that we chose is a new wave or the next generation.
01:19So why did we choose the next generation?
01:22It's because we want to introduce new names in the industry, new players.
01:27We want the young generation to appreciate doing furniture.
01:34We want to encourage the next generation.
01:37It's always a one-year work to prepare and conceptualize this type of event.
01:42It's a hard event to put together because we always have to come up with something new,
01:48something different.
01:49And our audience will always be expecting the unexpected.
01:53And so this year, we delivered something quite different from the past.
01:58Through this event, not only will young people be interested in designing,
02:03but it's also an opportunity to show the culture and skills of Filipino designers to the world.
