Ever since 1929, the Academy Awards have honored some of our greatest cinematic performances and films—but they don’t always get it right. Welcome to the “snub club.” It’s a group of epic films, iconic directors and big-screen superstars that were under-appreciated, unheralded and sometimes completely ignored by the Academy.

00:00The Oscars, Hollywood's biggest night where dreams come true or get completely shattered.
00:06Every year the Academy gives us winners, but let's be real, they also give us some snubs.
00:11And today we're talking about the biggest Oscar snubs of all time.
00:14And trust, some of these will have you shaking your head.
00:17Let's start with the snub queen herself, Amy Adams. Six nominations, zero wins.
00:30What does this woman have to do? She's given us everything. Drama, heartbreak, even Muppets.
00:37The fact that she didn't win for Arrival or American Hustle? Unforgivable. Academy, do better.
00:42They need to see me. Dr. Banks, are you insane?
00:52Now that's a proper introduction. We gotta get over on all these guys.
00:56That's what we need to be thinking about right now. We gotta get over on all these guys.
01:02She's gotta be the best we've ever done.
01:04Okay, we need to talk about Brokeback Mountain. It was the favorite to win best picture in 2006,
01:09but then Crash swooped in and what happened? It was so shocking at the time that Jack Nicholson,
01:15who was presenting the best picture award, even mouthed, whoa.
01:19And the Oscar goes to Crash.
01:27Brokeback was groundbreaking, beautiful, emotional, a cinematic masterpiece,
01:32and yet it lost. That decision did not age well.
01:35It's no one's business but ours.
01:40Say it with me, We Don't Talk About Bruno was the song of 2021. It topped the charts,
01:45became a cultural phenomenon. Can you even think of a more annoying TikTok song of that era?
01:51And yet, Disney submitted Dos Orgitas instead for best original song.
01:56Would love to know who made that decision. I have questions.
02:00What a nightmare!
02:01Felix!
02:01Hey, she needs to know, baby. She needs to know.
02:03We don't talk about Bruno.
02:04And Kanto still won best animated feature, but come on, Bruno deserved a nomination.
02:09Before Leo finally won for The Revenant, this man was the poster child for Oscar snubs.
02:14He lost for The Wolf of Wall Street, The Aviator, and Don't Even Get Me Started on Titanic.
02:20The internet was screaming for justice.
02:25I'll never let go. I promise.
02:28At least he finally got one, but wow, did it take forever.
02:36Some say the Academy finally caved and gave him the Oscar for The Revenant,
02:40not because it was Leo's very best work, but because it was simply time. He was overdue.
02:45Not that he wasn't amazing in The Revenant. I'm sorry, Leo. I didn't mean it.
02:50It's official, old buddy. It has been.
02:54So I would love to know, what is your biggest Oscar snub?
