00:00I think the first time when I was doing a scene with Shabana ji in Dabba Kartal, she
00:11just replies to me with someone's name, who was her head, who was her boss before.
00:19And I, my parrots just flew away when she replied, so I was like, so I was just like
00:25that, you know, there is Shabana Azmi in front of you, so I think it played in my mind,
00:32so I think I got a little freaked out there, so I was like, no, you have to keep your composure
00:36and make sure that whoever Shabana Azmi is, you have to do your acting well.
00:43But yeah, my parrots flew away, as if she took Mirza Ghalib or some name and I was like,
00:48I was so happy to see her as an audience, you know, it was just like, for a second I
00:53snapped out of my character and I didn't like that very much.
00:56So never happened to me before, I never snapped out of it before, but yeah, it happened once.
01:06I was the last minute addition in this show, so four days ago I got a call for an audition
01:15and I gave the audition, they told me Netflix, XL, five women, I am one of the leads, I was sold.
01:24I don't have a method, I have an on-off button, if you put me in the circumstance, in the
01:33location, with the co-actor, in my costume, in my character, my button turns on and I
01:40am good, good to go.
01:41Put me in any situation, but put me in that actual situation and I will be good.
01:45I don't want to put anybody in the Dabba Kaatli universe because it's full of crime,
01:54so I don't think I should.
02:04Not at all, it was all shot so beautifully, it is shown so beautifully, it is picturised
02:09so beautifully, written so beautifully, so I don't think it needed any cringe moment.
02:14If there is ever a cringe moment, it will be for Anjali, not for the character.
02:23I don't think they are pushing boundaries too far, I think audiences have seen much
02:28more than whatever we have shown on the show and I think we have all kinds of audiences
02:34in the world.
02:35OTT ka yehi toh hai that it's open to everybody, so I think whoever it resonates with, they
02:40should just watch it and whoever it doesn't, they should not watch it.
02:45I don't think of myself as a television or an OTT or a film actor, I just see myself
02:53as an actor, so whichever platform I get, I will just act in it.
03:02No, I don't regret anything I did, it was right at the time that I wanted it to do,
03:07so I think I don't regret it.
03:15Comparison, comparison, I don't think mujhe kabhi kis se compare kiya gaya hai, but they
03:20compare, I mean they just compare every big girl to every other big girl in the world,
03:25so I don't like that and I don't like the way they say ki agar aap weight lose kar
03:30loge toh aap ache lagoge and all of that, so I don't think, I think as long as mere
03:35kaam ki baat ho rahi hai, I am okay with taking that critique, I am not okay with taking
03:39critique on my body or anything I look like or whatever people's perceptions are.
03:45It is evolving slowly, but it is evolving for sure.
03:57I don't manage to fit at all because I don't fit, I don't want to fit in the society's
04:02stereotypes and all of that, main alag hoon, out of the box hoon, I am an acquired taste
04:07and that's how you should perceive me, I am not like everybody else and I don't want
04:11to be, I am glad I am not.
04:14I am glad I am not.
