Gavin Cox, 53, from Swindon, has become Britain's biggest litter champion, reporting over 230 cases of fly-tipping since 2020.

The butcher spends his spare time cleaning waterways and open spaces, discovering items ranging from beds and sofas to sex toys and laptops.

Despite his efforts, he says fly-tipping is getting worse, with many cases difficult to enforce due to a lack of evidence.

Swindon has seen a 30% increase in fly-tipping incidents, and Cox advocates for harsher fines and community service for offenders.

Local authorities are working to tackle the issue, including using CCTV in hotspots.
