00:00Not yet, I think. I had to finish the teamwork off. I'm really grateful for the team, how we worked as a team and what Lotte did in the final. I'm super grateful for it.
00:14Before the race, did you think it would be a bunch sprint finish?
00:18I think there were multiple options, but I already felt good on the Cipressa. Also on the Poggio, I was with the first five or something at the top, and then I knew I would ride for the win.
00:33Longoborgini did a really strong attack, but I saw Lotte was close behind, and what I said, the effort Lotte did, it was amazing.
00:41So with one K to go, were you still confident?
00:44Yes, because I know how strong Lotte is. She brought me in the perfect position. I need to say, Vos surprised me a little bit. I didn't want to open my sprint too early, but it was enough for the win.
00:55Where does this victory stand in your beautiful career?
00:59Really high, actually. It's really nice to win here. I did a lot of racons the few days I stayed after Strade, I stayed here in Italy, and I had really good preparation.
01:13So I'm really grateful for the team.
01:16Proficiat.
01:19Marianne, so close to the win, but is this a logical result for a bunch sprint finish?
01:26Well, of course, up front it was hard to predict what the race was going to give, and in the end, I'm very happy with how we raced as a team, and how I got to the final.
01:40In a sprint against Lorena Wiebes, you know it's going to be very hard, but we tried, and I think we can be satisfied with second.
01:50What was your state of mind on top of the podium?
01:55Try to do the descent as good as possible, try and stay in control, and of course just see what happens, because you still have to anticipate on everything what happens in the descent and after the descent.
02:09Now that you have done it, after many years thinking about it, what's the feeling of racing Milano-San Remo?
02:16Yeah, well, it's a beautiful race, and I'm happy we did it today, and there's hopefully many more editions to come.
02:26It's the start of a long history?
02:28Yeah, I think so.
02:30Thank you very much.
02:32Noemi, this morning, did you imagine yourself standing on the podium of Milano-San Remo?
02:38No, honestly not.
02:39Well, we had this goal as a team to go for a podium, but I honestly cannot really believe that this really happened.
02:47It's insane.
02:50I think in cycling, mostly the win counts.
02:53Everyone always looks for the win, but for me, this third place feels like a win, and I'm so happy.
02:59This is a monument.
03:00This is the first time in a long time that we have this women's race, and third place feels amazing for me.
03:07I need a few days, I think, to let this sink in.
03:10So how did you make it?
03:12Take us through the last kilometre.
03:14Yeah, well, the last two climbs, they were kind of hard, but I expected them to be harder, on the Cipressa especially.
03:23The tempo wasn't that high, so it all stayed together.
03:26And then on the Poggio, they really went hard at the top, but I managed to get over really well.
03:35And then at the bottom of the Poggio descent, I just followed Kopecky's wheel.
03:40She closed the gap to Borghini, so the tempo was really fast.
03:45This was the best-case scenario for me, so I could start my sprint in a really good position.
03:51Then I just sprinted to third place.
03:54You won the Tour d'Irelande in Australia in January.
03:57Was that the right preparation for Cipressa, for Poggio?
04:01Well, I would say so, yeah.
04:03I think I did work really hard in the last winter.
04:07I really prepared myself well and then could show it already in Australia that I'm in really good shape.
04:13And I think I also proved the last few races that I did that I was up there in the finals.
04:19So I think it gives a lot of trust and confidence that I'm doing the right thing.
04:23And I did the right preparation in the winter.
04:26Congratulations.
04:27Thank you so much.
