00:00The other one seed playing in this round of 64 Friday, the one
00:04seed atop the West region that is Florida taking on the
00:08champion for the me act. That's Norfolk State, a 28 and a half
00:12point spread in favor of the Gators, who have won run rough
00:15shot as of late throughout the SEC, including in the
00:19conference tournament in Nashville, frankly, Donnie with
00:22the way they won games in the SEC tournament, and the way the
00:26Gators look right now, I think there was an argument to be
00:28made, they look like the most dangerous team entering the
00:31dance.
00:32They really do. And you see that large number there, there's
00:35two ways you could try to play it off. Because if you're
00:37looking for that big spread, it's like, well, I just go in
00:39the first half, because, you know, the thought process of the
00:41cleanest after going to get between two mismatched teams is
00:44always the first half, because number one, it doesn't matter
00:47if you're up 40 to nine with three minutes to go, your
00:49starters are coming out in the first half, they're going to
00:50press that lever down. But understand this, like Florida's
00:53backups to backups are probably better than Norfolk State
00:57starters at that point. So is it one of those where you start a
00:59little bit slow, like you see sometimes in NCAA tournaments,
01:02hey, we're only up 910 or 11 at the break, which wouldn't have
01:04been good enough to cover that halftime number. And then you
01:07really slap it down the second half, you score 48 points, the
01:10other team scores 17 points. And away you go with the cover and
01:13an easy one at that bit. I don't really generally been get
01:16involved in these one verse 16. So with the high numbers,
01:19because you are expecting a blowout. But understand this,
01:21again, I always just get back to the simple theory, no aggregate
01:24score, you don't have to keep your number one seed by how many
01:26points you beat the number one, but number 16 seed by so you can
01:30advance and still be that number one seed in round number two, it
01:32doesn't work that way. So when I look at games like this, I just
01:35look at the first half and say, what is that score probably
01:37going to be? And maybe a team total to the under for a team
01:41like Norfolk State, where what's the maximum? So if we're taking
01:43a look at I didn't see 27 and a half 153. So that number is
01:47pretty high on the total, obviously, based on Florida, do
01:50whatever they want on offense. But I always look to these teams
01:52like Florida and say, their defense should be able to shut
01:54down Norfolk State, they really should, regardless of who's in
01:57the game, starters or backups.
